This standard establishes General requirements for methods of analysis of gallium.
1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1.1. General requirements for methods of analysis GOST 25086 with additions.
1.1.1. Sampling — according to normative-technical documentation.
1.1.2. Preparation of samples for analysis
A sample in a sealed plastic bag of at least (40 x 40) mm was melted in a drying Cabinet at a temperature not exceeding 50 °C. a molten Package with breakout placed between two stainless steel plates of size not less than (100х50х10) mm, previously rubbed with a swab moistened with ethyl alcohol, and cooled in the freezer of a household refrigerator for 1 h. Crystallized metal milled fluoropolymer careful tapping with a hammer (without breaking the package). The crushed sample is passed for analysis.
1.1.3. For analysis using volumetric glassware not lower than 2nd accuracy class according to GOST 29169, 29252 (burettes, pipettes) according GOST 1770 (cylinders, beakers, flasks) and glassware according to GOST 25336 (beakers, conical flasks, funnels, conical, desiccators, etc.), dishes made of transparent quartz GOST 19908 (crucibles, flasks, bottles, etc.).
Allowed the use of other equipment, materials, utensils and reagents (including from abroad), subject to obtaining the metrological characteristics are not worse than specified in relevant standard methods of analysis.
1.1.4. The analyzed sample of gallium is weighed with accuracy up to 0,002 g.
1.1.5. For the result of atomic-emission and chemical-economising analysis taking the geometric mean of results of three parallel measurements. The ratio of highest to lowest of those scores with 0.95 confidence level should not exceed the values of permissible differences, is given in GOST 13637.1-GOST 13637.3. The value of the results of the analysis are rounded and expressed with one significant figure.
The value of the analysis result obtained by the 13637.4 GOST-GOST 13637.9, round and Express the number with the last digit of the same rank as that numerical expressions are permitted discrepancies in the results of parallel measurements.
1.1.6. The height of the peaks used to calculate the results of polarographic determination of sulfur and Stripping voltammetric determination of tin, selenium and tellurium are converted to the same instrumental sensitivity.
1.1.7. The accuracy of atomic-emission analysis GOST and GOST 13637.1 13637.2 control for each user-defined impurities in the transition to a new set of samples comparison (WITH).
For this purpose the same samples containing the designated impurity in a controlled interval of mass fraction, using the old () and new () sets of samples comparison receive four test results and calculate average geometrical value and .
Then find the ratio of the greater to the lesser of and the results of the analysis are correct, if the ratio does not exceed the square root of the values of the permissible differences of the two results of the analysis specified in GOST and GOST 13637.1 13637.2 for the value of the mass fraction of the designated impurities are equal .
Control over the correct conduct for each interval between the neighbouring content references on a rolling basis for analysis of appropriate samples
.
1.1.8. Control of the correctness of the analysis of a series of samples of gallium PA 13637.3 GOST-GOST 13637.9 perform at least once a month, but not less than once a month, where is the number of samples of gallium analyzed per month using the same reagents, solutions and equipment.
1.1.9. The determination of oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon is carried out according to GOST 22720.0-GOST 22720.4.
2. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Gallium and its compounds in air of working zone does not produce toxic substances and belong to the fourth class of danger.
2.2. Laboratory spaces where chemicals are treated in batches of gallium must be equipped with ventilation systems according to GOST
2.3. Executing tests using mercury (polarographic and voltammetric determination) should be carried out in accordance with the sanitary rules of design, equipment, operation, and maintenance of production and laboratory premises, intended for work with mercury, its compounds and instruments with filling of mercury adopted by the USSR Ministry of health.
2.4. When you use gases in cylinders must comply with the safety requirements in accordance with the rules for design and safe operation of vessels working under pressure, approved by Gostekhnadzor of the RF.
2.5. Fire safety laboratory spaces shall be provided in accordance with the requirements of GOST
2.6. To work in the analytical laboratory should be allowed persons who have been duly instructed in accordance with GOST
2.7. General safety requirements in the analysis of gallium — according to normative-technical documentation.
