The side and end surfaces of the ingots should not have sinks and Nikitin.

Allowed trimming of defects on the lateral surface of the bars to a depth not exceeding the limit deviation for diameter and a total width of not more than 50 mm. Space cleansing should have shallow edges.

At the request of the consumer side and end surfaces of the ingots not grind. On portocannone surface allowed the shell and Nikitiny.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

2.4. (Deleted, Rev. N 2).

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. Niobium present to the acceptance of the parties. The party should consist of a metal of the same brand, resulting in a single technological cycle and accompanied by a document about quality that contains:

is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;

— name of the product or its cipher;

— the number of the ingot;

— the net weight;

— dimensions of the ingot;

— the results of the analysis;

— date of manufacture;

— the stamp of the technical control Department;

— the designation of this standard.

The mass of the party must be not more than 1500 kg.

3.2. Control of chemical composition, surface quality and dimensions are subjected to every ingot.

The hydrogen content of the manufacturer controls periodically once a quarter and at the request of the consumer.

3.3. If unsatisfactory results of the analysis, a second analysis doubled the number of samples taken in the same places.

Results re-analysis apply to the entire party.

3.4. If unsatisfactory results of the analysis of hydrogen the periodic tests are translated into the acceptance to get positive results on two batches in a row.

Sec. 3. (Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

4. TEST METHODS

4.1.Sampling

4.1.1. Samples from the ingot taken in the form of chips and pieces on a lathe. In places sampling the cleaned ingot on a lathe.

4.1.2. The first point a sample of chips taken at a distance of 100 mm from the head part of the ingot, the second and subsequent intervals of 350 mm over the entire length of the ingot, the last sample is taken at a distance of 50 mm from the bottom of the ingot.

In selecting the sample in the form of chips on the ingot to form a shoulder height of 2.5−3.0 mm and width of 1.0−1.5 mm, which is then separated from the ingot and cut or cut in pieces.

Spot samples of the chips are milled in segments up to 15 mm.

The mass point of the sample pieces should be at least 10 grams of shavings — not less than 30 g.

4.1.3. Spot samples of chips and pieces separately are combined and averaged.

The mass of the joint sample pieces shall be not less than 40 g, the chip — at least 60 g.

4.1.1−4.1.3. (Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

4.1.4. The combined samples of the shavings and pieces are divided into two equal parts. Each part of the sample was placed in glass jars with ground stoppers or screw caps, or in bags made of polyethylene film GOST 10354−82, which tied and then Packed in bags made of a paper sack according to GOST 2228−81.

The label that indicate the product name, number of bars, number of samples, date of sampling, name of the controller, placed between layers of bags or put in the Bank.

One part of the sample chips and pieces sent to the laboratory for analysis.

Another part of the sample kept at the factory for three months.

At the customer’s request sample chips and pieces sent with the bars.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 2).

4.2. Determination of impurities, silicon, tantalum, iron, titanium, tungsten and molybdenum is carried out according to GOST 18385.0−89, 18385.1−79 — GOST 18385.4−79.

Determination of impurities of oxygen, hydrogen, carbon and nitrogen is carried out according to GOST 22720.0−77 — GOST 22720.4−77.

In determining nitrogen according to GOST 22720.4−77 for the final result of the analysis taking the arithmetic mean of the results of the four definitions.

Allowed the use of the method of high temperature extraction with a carrier gas, comparable with the major analytical parameters in the GOST 22720.0−77 — GOST 22720.3−77. If there are differences in the definition of additives: oxygen, hydrogen, carbon and nitrogen is carried out according to GOST 22720.0−77 — GOST 22720.3−77.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

4.3. The dimensions of the ingots control the metal ruler according to GOST 427−75.

4.4. Control of surface quality of ingots is carried out by visual inspection.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

5. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

5.1. At the end of each melted ingot knock out punch mark and number of the ingot. The marking of the ingot is carried out with indication of the ratio of the numbers of the ingot and the sequence number of each cut part.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

5.2. Each ingot wrapped in a paper sack according to GOST 2228−81 and packaged in wooden boxes according to GOST 2991−85:
