For analysis prepare two samples.
B. 4 analysis
B. 4.1 Filter is carefully removed from the holder, placed in a glass, pour 5 cmof the mixture of acids and heated to boiling. Further, the filter is drained and washed with 3 cmof the same mixture. The washing liquid is poured together and evaporated to dryness on a water bath. The residue in the Cup pour 2 cmof hydrochloric acid, again evaporated to dryness and transferred by dissolving in 5 cmof water in a test tube. Then make a 2 cmof a solution of ammonium persulfate and the volume was adjusted with water up to 8 cm. The tube was stoppered and heated for 30 min in a water bath at a temperature of 80−90 °C. the Volume was adjusted with water to 15 cm, add 0.3 cmmethyl violet, and after 30 min at room temperature and extraction is carried out 10 cmof toluene for 1 min.
The optical density of organic layer is measured on photoelectrocolorimeter or spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 560 nm in cuvettes with the thickness of the light absorbing layer 2 cm relative to the control sample, which is conducted during the analysis with all reagents.
The contents of thallium found by calibration graph, constructed from the dosed quantities of a standard solution of thallium (I), treated as in the analysis sample, excluding the operation of the filter.
B. 5 Processing of results
Mass fraction of thallium in air , mg/m, calculated by the formula
