This standard applies to the antimony used in the semiconductor and electronic technology and also for the manufacture of alloys, enamels, ceramic colors, and other purposes, and establishes requirements for antimony, manufactured for the needs of the national economy and exports.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Antimony must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
2.2. Chemical composition of antimony must conform to the standards specified in table.2.

Notes:
1. In the antimony brand Su000 for manufacture of antimony of high purity brand Su0000p arsenic should not be more than 6·10%.
2. In the antimony brand Su0 for the manufacture of alloys used in special batteries, the gold content should not exceed 2·10%.
3. For the manufacture of alloys of lead-based antimony in the brands SS1 and SS2 may be increased to a mass fraction of lead, tin and arsenic due to the reduction of the mass fraction of antimony.
4. Antimony brand SU1 is made of electrolytic production method.

2.3. Antimony grades Su00000, Su0000, Su000 produce ingots weighing from 0.5 to 4.0 kg. Antimony brand Su0000p produce ingots weighing not more than 2 kg. Antimony grades Su00, Su0, SS2 are made in the form of pigs weighing 15−25 kg.
Antimony brand SU1 made in the form of scaly plates up to 70 mm and in the form of ingots weighing 15−25 kg.
By agreement with the consumer it is allowed manufacture of antimony in ingots of a different shape and mass.
2.4. The surface of ingots of antimony Su00000 brands, Su0000p, Su0000, Su000 must be clean, without visible inclusions.
On the surface of ingots of antimony brands Su00, Su0, SU1 and SS2 are allowed slag inclusions with a maximum size of 4 mm and porosity.

2.5. The moisture content of the antimony brand SU1, produced in the form of scaly plates should be not more than 0.5%.
3. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
3.1. Aerosol metallic antimony applies to 2 hazard class according to GOST
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
3.2. Inhalation aerosol metal antimony may cause irritation of the respiratory system, digestive system, mucous membranes of the eyes. Possible allergic skin disease. Long-term effect of aerosol on the body can cause disease of the lungs — antimonotonia, not progressive after cessation of contact with aerosols of antimony in vessels, nervous system, metabolic processes in the body.
3.3. Maximum permissible concentration in the air of working zone for aerosol antimony 0.5 mg/m, time-weighted average 0.2 mg/mfor lead is 0.01 mg/m, time-weighted average — 0,007 mg/mfor Nickel is 0.05 mg/maccording to GOST

3.4. Control of content of harmful substances in the air of the working area must be performed according to GOST 12.1.005 and in drinking water according to GOST 18293.

3.5. Dust removing metallic antimony is necessary to carry out pneumatic devices such vacuum cleaners. Disposal of collected dust must be returned to the production cycle for re-processing.
3.6. Metallic antimony is fire and explosion proof.
3.7. Collective protection — the normalization of air environment of industrial premises and workplaces according to GOST
3.8. The premises where carried out work associated with a dust emission of metallic antimony should be equipped with forced ventilation according to GOST 12.4.021, except for companies engaged in long-term storage of antimony.
The air removed by the ventilation systems containing harmful substances before emission into the atmosphere must be cleaned according to SN 245−75*.

3.9. Working with antimony should be provided with means of individual protection according to GOST 12.4.011, GOST 12.4.028, and in accordance with «Standard industry standards of issue of clothing, footwear and protective equipment to workers and employees of the enterprises of nonferrous metallurgy».

4. ACCEPTANCE RULES
4.1. Pigs, ingots and plates of antimony is attended parties. The party of antimony Su00000 brands, Su0000p, Su0000, Su000 must consist of one or several bars or parts of bars of the same brand weighing up to 15 kg received a single technology on the same type equipment and is accompanied by one document on quality. The party of antimony brands Su00, Su0, SU1 and SS2 shall consist of ingots or plates of one brand, one manufacture, one bottoms up to a total weight of 20 tons and drawn up by one document on quality. The document about quality should contain:
trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;
the name of the product and its brand;
the batch number and number of packages;
gross mass and net mass;
the results of chemical analysis;
date of production batch and date of shipment;
the mark of the technical control Department or the signature of the Comptroller (chief) of the TCI;
the designation of this standard.
Party electrolytic antimony in the form of scaly plates should consist of single electrolytic metal removal.
Supporting documentation for antimony for export is issued in accordance with the requirements of foreign trade enterprises.

4.2. The appearance test is subjected to 5% of pigs from each batch or ingot.
4.3. To check the chemical composition of antimony in the form of ingots or of his samples are taken from each ingot of the party.
To check the chemical composition of antimony in the form of ingots from the party taken every twentieth pig, but not less than three pigs.
On the manufacturer allowed the verification of the chemical composition conducted on test bars when filling each of the twentieth pig.
To check the chemical composition of antimony in the form of scaly plates taken every tenth packaging unit, but not less than three units of packaging.

4.4. The impurity content of bismuth, gold, cadmium, magnesium, manganese, arsenic, sodium, Nickel, lead, silver, sulphur, selenium, zinc, copper and iron in antimony, brand Su0000p and brand Su0000, but the content of selenium and magnesium, is determined periodically, once a quarter.

4.5. The content of zinc, bismuth, gold in the antimony grades Su00, Su0, SS2 and Nickel in antimony grades Su00, Su0 is determined periodically, once a quarter.
4.6. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators it is carried out re-testing at twice the sample taken from the same batch.
The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
5. TEST METHODS
5.1. Check of appearance of antimony is carried out by inspection without the use of magnifying devices.
5.2. The chemical composition determined by analysis of the combined samples drawn from point samples.
Spot samples from the antimony in the form of ingots were taken by chipping with hand fracture. The composite sample consists of point samples taken from each ingot (part of the ingot). The mass of the joint sample shall be not less than 20 g (or not less than 40 g for the periodic control according to claim 4.4).
The combined sample of antimony Su00000 brands, Su0000p, Su0000, Su000 crushed in agate, an agate mortar or a mortar made of organic glass, stirred and prepared for chemical analysis according to GOST 24231.

5.3. Selection of point samples from the antimony in the form of flakes and scaly plates is carried out according to GOST 24231.
The mass of the joint sample shall be not less than 400 g.
5.4. Samples of antimony of all grades, is designed for analysis or storage, are Packed in bags made of polyethylene film or in banks, is provided with a label according to GOST 24231.
5.5. Chemical analysis of antimony of all grades is carried out according to GOST 1367.0-GOST 1367.11.

6. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
6.1. Each antimony ingot brand Su0000p placed in a double package of plastic film according to GOST 10354, which is sealed. The package with the ingot is wrapped in tracing paper according to GOST 892 and filter paper according to GOST 12026.
Antimony brand Su0000p Packed in boxes according to GOST 5959 with soft pads. The gross weight of one box should not exceed 10 kg.
6.2. Each antimony ingot brands Su00000, Su0000, Su000 placed in the package of polyethylene film according to GOST 10354. Each package with ingot Packed in a box made of cardboard according to GOST 7933 soft pads with foam or cotton wool GOST 5556.
Boxes of ingots, Packed in tight wooden boxes according to GOST 2991, type II-2, vystlannyh a paper according to GOST 2228, or in containers according to GOST 20435. The weight of one drawer should be no more than 50 kg may be Packed in one box several parties.
Packaging of antimony Su0000 brands, Su000 according to claim 6.1.

6.3. On the front side of the box or glued between layers of plastic bag put the label in which indicate:
trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;
the name of the product and its brand;
batch number;
the net mass;
the date of manufacture;
stamp of technical control or the signature of the TCI controller;

6.4. Each pig antimony grades Su00, Su0, SU1 and SS2 should be marked with the mark of antimony, batch number, and trademark of the manufacturer.
6.5. Ingots of antimony brands Su00, Su0, SU1 and SS2 are not in packages. Allowed by agreement between manufacturer and consumer packaging of antimony ingots in dense wooden boxes according to GOST 2991.
Antimony brand SU1 in the form of scaly plates placed in a double packaging: polyethylene bags according to GOST 17811, inserted into polypropylene bags, manufactured according to GOST 30090.

By agreement with the consumer allowed to transport the antimony grades Su00, Su0, SU1 and SS2 without packing in containers.

6.8. Antimony, Packed in PP.6.1; 6.2 and 6.5, transporterowych any kind of transport:
in covered wagons — wagon and small consignments;
in containers in the open rolling stock.
Allowed antimony, Packed in PP.6.1 and 6.2, conveying postal parcels.
6.9. Transportation of ingots of antimony of all grades is carried out by the transport packages in accordance with the requirements of normative-technical documentation.
6.10. Antimony should be stored in covered premises, excluding loss of metal, pollution, moisture, vapors, acids and other aggressive substances.
Under specified storage conditions consumer properties of antimony are not changing.
For antimony, intended for long-term storage, the box should be caused by burning or indelibly marked with the details listed in paragraph 6.3.
