Introduction
This standard includes additional requirements in relation to the European regional standard EN 10249−2: 1995, reflecting the needs of the Russian national industry and the specifics of national standardization:
— designations of domestic standards for metal products and methods of control are given;
— an item has been introduced informing about the construction of sheet piles;
— when describing technical requirements, the terms used in national standardization are used.
The name of the standard is stated in accordance with subsection 3.5 of GOST R 1.5−2012 (subsection 3.6 of GOST 1.5−2001). The standard in accordance with subsection 4.4 of GOST R 1.5−2012 includes an additional element «Bibliography».
1 area of use
This standard applies to cold-rolled sheet piles of unalloyed steel (hereinafter — sheet piles) made of hot-rolled strip and sheet metal with a thickness of at least 2 mm, designed for the construction of sheet piling in hydrotechnical, transport, industrial and civil construction.
This standard specifies the tolerances size, height, width, wall thickness, length and shape, as well as tolerances skew cut, straightness and cold rolled sheet piles weight of unalloyed steel according to [1] and the present standard.
2 Normative references
Normative references to the following standards are used in this standard:
Rolled sheet hot-rolled. Assortment

NOTE — When using this standard, it is advisable to check the operation of reference standards in the public information system — on the official website of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology for standardization on the Internet or on the annually published informational index «National Standards», published as of January 1 of the current year, and on the issues of the monthly information index «National Standards» for the current year. If you replace the reference standard for which an undated reference is given, then the current version of this standard is recommended, taking into account all changes made to this version. If the reference standard, to which the reference is dated, is replaced, then the version of this standard with the above approval year is recommended. If, following the approval of this standard, a change has been made to the reference standard for which the reference is dated, a change affecting the provision referred to is made, this provision is recommended to be applied without taking this change into account. If the reference standard is canceled without replacement, the provision in which the reference is made on it, it is recommended to apply in a part that does not affect this link.
3 Control of limiting deviations in size and shape. General requirements
_______________
* The words «and forms» in the title of section 3 in the paper original are in italics. — Note of the database manufacturer.
3.1. All measurements should be made outside the depressed areas of the sheet piles at a distance of at least 250 mm from the end.
3.2 Limit deviations in dimensions and shape of sheet piles are monitored in accordance with GOST 19903 , GOST 26877 using tools of appropriate accuracy.
3.3. Specific dimensions and shape of sheet piles shall be established in the design documentation of the manufacturer.
4 Height of profile
The maximum deviation of the height of the sheet piles should correspond to those indicated in Table 1.
Table 1 — Maximum deviations in the height of sheet piles
_______________
Applicable for various profiles of cold-rolled sheet piles; the figure shows a light profile.

200 |
± 4 | |
200 300 |
± 6 | ||
300 400 |
± 8 | ||
400 |
± 10 |
5 Profile width
The maximum deviation of the profile width is:
— single profile: ± 2% of nominal width;
— double piles: ± 3% of the nominal width.
6 Profile wall thickness
Tolerances of the wall thickness shall comply with the requirements of Table 2 [2] for a strip or sheet with a nominal width exceeding 1800 mm, GOST 19903 for sheet hot-rolled rolled products manufactured in rolls of increased rolling accuracy A with a nominal width exceeding 1500 mm.
7 Profile straightness
7.1 General requirements
The straightness of the profile (measured in the horizontal or vertical planes) should be checked on sheet piles freely lying on a flat base, in accordance with Figures 1 and 2.
In the case of Z-shaped sheet piles, the inspection is carried out on double piles and, if necessary, on welded double piles when delivered in a welded state
7.2 Deviation from straightness in the horizontal plane
Controlled size () in the horizontal plane is the distance between the straight line connecting the corners of the profile and the edge of the profile. Controlled size () should not exceed 0.25% .

— length of the profile; — deviation from straightness in the horizontal plane

7.3. Deviation from straightness in the vertical plane
Controlled size () in the vertical plane is the distance between the straight line connecting the corners of the profile and the edge of the profile. Controlled size () should not exceed 0.25% .

— length of the profile; — deviation from straightness in the vertical plane.
Figure 2 — Measurement of the deviation from straightness in the vertical plane
7.4 Twisting
The amount of twisting is measured as follows: one end of the profile is fixed, then the characteristic value at the free end of the sheet pile as the distance to the reference plane (see Figure 3).
Value should not exceed 2% , while the maximum value should not exceed 100 mm.

8 Length of profile
The maximum deviation of the profile length is ± 50 mm.
When placing an order, other limit deviations of the length of the profile are allowed. Additional requirement 1, see 13.2.
9 Cutting perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (Cut-off cut-out)
_______________
* The words «Kosin Reza» in the title of Section 9 in the paper original are in italics. — Note of the database manufacturer.
Deviation () between the extreme points of the cutting plane, measured perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pile, shall not exceed 2% of the width of the pile.

— deviation between the extreme points of the cutting plane
Figure 4 — Cutting perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (Cut-back cut)
If the profiles are supplied welded along the whole length, as double piles, then the deviation () must not exceed 20 mm.
10 Angle position
When placing an order for sheet piles of special purpose it is allowed to negotiate the angle tolerance shelves (see Figure 5).
_______________
This tolerance is ± 3 degrees for piles with a smaller shelf length (see figure 5) of less than 10 mm; in all other cases the deviation is ± 2 degrees.
Figure 5 — The angle of the «alpha» shelf
— shelf inclination angle
Figure 5 — Angle shelves
Additional requirement 2, see 13.3.
11 Weight of profile
The actual mass of the whole delivery, not exceeding ± 7%, relative to the theoretical mass (the product of the ordered length and mass of each running meter according to the profile tables according to the design documentation of the manufacturer) is allowed .
When placing an order by agreement, it is allowed to limit the mass deviation.
Additional requirement 3, see 13.4.
12 Locking joint, overlapping
The shape of the latch / lap joints is selected by the manufacturer. If cold-rolled sheet piles are supplied with lock connections, these connections must have sufficient clearance to allow the piles to be easily inserted and able to withstand the design load. The control of the locking joints is carried out on two test samples with a length of 500 mm.
13 Additional requirements
13.1 At the time of placing the order, the customer agrees additional requirements (see 4.2 according to [1]).
13.2 Additional requirement 1
The requirement to limit the maximum deviations along the length of the profiles (see 8).
13.3 Additional requirement 2
Angle tolerance shelves (see 10).
13.4 Additional requirement 3
The requirement to limit deviations in the weight of the profiles (see 11).
