5 INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME

The rules for the application of this standard are established in GOST R 1.0−2012 ** (section 8). The information on changes to this standard is published in the annual (as of January 1 of the current year) information index «National Standards», and the official text of the amendments and amendments is published in the monthly information index «National Standards». In case of revision (replacement) or cancellation of this standard, a corresponding notice will be published in the next issue of the monthly information index «National Standards». The relevant information, notification and texts are also posted in the public information system — on the official website of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology on the Internet (gost.ru)

Introduction

This standard includes additional requirements in relation to the European regional standard EN 10249−1, reflecting the needs of the Russian national industry and the specifics of national standardization:

— the domestic steel grades are given;

— designations of domestic standards for metal products, acceptance rules and test methods are given;

— classes of strength and categories of impact strength of metal products from domestic steel grades are given;

— an item has been introduced informing about the construction of sheet piles.

Due to the fact that many reference European standards and EURONORMS for the period of validity of EN 10249−1 have been revised with a change in their designation, the design element of this standard «Bibliography» includes designations and names of the following existing normative documents:

EN 10025−2: 2004 instead of EN 10025;

EN 10111: 2008 instead of prEN 10111;

EN 10025−3: 2004 instead of EN 10113−2;

EN 10025−4: 2004 instead of EN 10113−3;

EN 10149−2: 2013 in return for prEN 10149−2;

EN 10149−3: 2013 in return for prEN 10149−3;

EN ISO 6892−1: 2009 instead of EN 10002−1;

EN 10168: 2004 in return for EURONORM 168.

The name of the standard is stated in accordance with subsection 3.5 of GOST R 1.5 (subsection 3.6 of GOST 1.5). The standard in accordance with subsection 4.4 of GOST R 1.5 includes an additional element «Bibliography».

1 area of use

This standard applies to cold-rolled sheet piles of unalloyed steel (hereinafter — sheet piles) made of hot-rolled strip and sheet metal with a thickness of at least 2 mm, designed for the construction of sheet piling in hydrotechnical, transport, industrial and civil construction .

The requirements to the maximum deviations in the dimensions and shape of sheet piles are contained in [1] and GOST R 56355 .
