Introduction
This standard is designed to create a regulatory framework for the production of seamless hot-deformed steel pipes for welded metal structures of civil and industrial construction.
In contrast to the current national standards of seamless steel pipe this standard for the first time includes a new, high demands on the properties of pipe material required for their effective use in welded steel construction. Among these requirements are:
— good weldability as a result of the restrictions on the amount of elements in the chemical composition of the steel and reduce the sulfur content;
— high resistance to brittle fracture, controlled trial designs modern rigid form under low negative temperature to ensure the reliable operation of structures and the ability to create structures of «Northern performance».
The manufacture of pipes of different grades facilitates reduction of the weight of metal structures, reducing the complexity of their manufacture and reducing the total cost of construction.
1 Scope
This standard applies to hot seamless pipes for welded steel constructions.
