Introduction
The need for the development of this standard due to the lack of a national standard for steel and cast iron pipes with protective coatings for piping systems of different purpose with heightened regulatory requirements to ensure reliability and safety in operation.
This standard contains the best achievements of international, regional, national regulatory documents, scientific-technical and technological solutions for quality assurance of pipes with coatings.
Standard indicators technical level and quality of pipe coatings meet international standards or even exceed them.

1 Scope
This standard establishes the technical requirements for protective coatings applied in the factory on the outer and/or inner surface of steel and cast iron pipes used for construction and repair of pipe systems for various purposes.

3 General provisions
3.1 this standard specifies the technical requirements for protective coatings (hereinafter — coating) applied to the outer and/or inner surface of steel and cast iron pipes in the factory.
3.2 Requirements of this standard shall be performed when the production of pipes with coatings, the development of new types of coatings and technologies for the production of coatings and as the basis for development of normative documents (ND), used in the manufacture of pipe coatings.
3.3 Protective coating applied on steel and cast iron pipes, assortment, technical requirements, mechanical properties and chemical composition which must comply with the requirements of GOST 3262, GOST 8696, GOST 8731, GOST 8732, GOST 10704, GOST 10705, GOST 10706. GOST 10707, GOST 20295, GOST R 52079и other normative documents, duly approved.
3.4 the Type, design, material and technology of obtaining coatings should not degrade the quality indicators of the source pipes of steel and cast iron.
3.5 it is Not allowed to apply coatings on pipe having surface defects impair the quality of coating, such as dents, shells, slivers, cracks etc. to Be insulation surface of the pipe must not have any sharp edges, burrs, cracks, bubbles, slag, corrosion lesions, etc.
3.6 surface of the pipe before coating must be processed in order to remove all kinds of impurities and achievement of roughness and surface cleanliness, compliant with the GOST R 51164 and GOST 9.602 each type of coverage.
3.7 Material and design of the coating should match ND approved by the developer of the technology of this type of coverage.
3.8 Material and coating design choose according to customer’s requirement based on the operating conditions and the required service life of pipelines. The selected coating should not have a detrimental impact on the environment and other facilities.
3.9 the corrosivity of the soil is determined on the basis of the values of electrical resistivity of soil and evaluated in accordance with GOST 9.602.
3.10 Material of the protective coating applied to the inner surface of the pipe must not enter into chemical reaction with the transported medium and impair its quality.
3.11 the Degree of interaction between the coating material and the transported medium is set in the codes of practice and agreed with the regulatory authorities is mandatory.
4. Classification of coatings
4.1 Protective coatings on the pipes are determined by the coating material, manufacturing technology and operating conditions.
4.2 Coverage for the type of used material is divided into:
polymer-based synthetic polymers: polyolefins, polyamides, fluoropolymers, thermosetting compounds, etc.;
— vitreous inorganic and organic silicate-based stellamara and organic silicate compositions;
— metallic and non-metallic inorganic-based metals and their alloys.
Principal coatings are presented in table 1.

4.3 Other types and designs of coatings can be applied to protect the pipe from corrosion, if their technical performance is no worse than given in table 2 for these types of coatings.

4.4 changes in the composition of the material — the introduction of modifying additives with the aim of improving the performance of the coating is carried out at the customer’s request or in agreement with him.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Technical requirements for the coatings are presented in table 2.
5.2 material selection, coatings and their design should take into account:
— operating conditions of the pipeline;
environment, transported by pipeline;
— economic feasibility.
5.3 in applying additional protection, on demand of the consumer pipe, the coating design can be changed, and the overall quality of the coating cannot be installed below this standard.
5.4 Each type of coverage must have a document about quality.
6 security Requirements
6.1 prior To the commencement of works for the protection of pipes against corrosion have to be developed by the project of manufacture of works with engineering development, ensuring the safety of workers.
6.2 in the implementation of works for the protection of pipes against corrosion should comply with the requirements of labor protection in accordance with GOST 12.3.005, 12.3.008 GOST, GOST 12.3.016 and fire safety in accordance with GOST
6.3 To carry out work for the protection of pipes against corrosion minimum age of eighteen years, passed medical examination, training, instruction and certification according to GOST
6.4 Workers should ensure clothing, footwear and means of individual protection according to GOST
6.5 in the works for the protection of pipes against corrosion in workplaces should provide the requirements:
— noise — in accordance with GOST 12.1.008;
— vibration — in accordance with GOST 12.1.012;
— the content of harmful substances in the air of working zone shall not exceed maximum allowable concentrations established by GOST
7 Requirements of environmental protection
7.1 the Monitoring of compliance with maximum permissible emissions to the atmosphere during application of protective coatings must be exercised according to GOST
7.2 Special events for the prevention of harm to the environment, health and genetic Fund of the person under test, storage, transportation and operation of pipes with protective coatings is not required.
8 Rules of acceptance
8.1 General rules of acceptance of pipes shall meet the requirements of GOST 10692 and GOST 14192. The pipe presented to the receiving parties. Party think of a pipe of one size of one brand of steel, which is applied to the cover during one work shift according to the established technology using the same brand of coating materials.
8.2 Pipe accompanied by a document about quality that contains:
— full information on the quality of the pipe without coating;
— name and trademark of manufacturer (for companies, not being the manufacturer of the pipe without coating);
— the name of the consumer;
— order number or contract;
— the designation of this standard;
— the batch number of the coated pipes;
the results of the acceptance tests;
— the date of coating application;
— mark of the technical control of the product acceptance.
8.3 incoming inspection of raw materials for a coating is carried out according to technical regulations of the manufacturer of coated pipes.
8.4 To check the conformity of coated pipes with the requirements of this standard of conduct acceptance tests.
8.5 acceptance testing for compliance of quality indicators with the requirements of this standard should be in accordance with table 3.

8.7 If unsatisfactory results during the acceptance testing at least one of the indicators, repeat tests are carried out for the indicator at twice the number of samples.
The results of repeated tests spread to the entire party.
Surrender is allowed pipes from the rejected party individually, with the acceptance of the pipes is carried out only for the metric, which was rejected batch of pipes.
8.8 Other indicators of quality of coatings is guaranteed by the manufacturer and determined during the model tests:
when changing brands or the main auxiliary process materials;
— when changing technological parameters of coatings;
— periodically at least once in 6 months in accordance with the regulations.
9 control Methods
Quality control of the coatings is carried out in accordance with the regulatory documents for each type of coverage:
polymer coating — GOST 9.602, GOST R 51164, GOST R 52568;
— metallic and non-metallic inorganic coatings — GOST 9.302 GOST 9.315;
— silica-organic coatings — GOST 9.406;
— paint coating — GOST 9.401;
combined, glass enamel, etc. coating — on customer’s request.
10 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage
10.1 On the outer and inner surfaces of each pipe at a distance of not more than 500 and not less than 20 mm from the edge of the pipe should be damage resistant paint or stamps marking according to GOST 10692, comprising:
— trademark or name of the manufacturer;
— the symbol of the coating;
— the stamp of the technical control Department (OTK);
the year of manufacture.
Mechanized method for marking features along or across the pipe at a distance of not more than 1,500 mm from the end.
The area of the marking note the contrasting paint.
Allowed by agreement between manufacturer and user to put on the additional marking pipes and apply self-adhesive labels instead of markings resistant paint on place branding.
On pipes with a diameter of 219 mm and less allowed the marking applied to the label for each package in the shipment of tubes in packages.
The shipment of the tubes in the clamps marking applied to each pipe.
10.2 the Packing, transportation and storage of coated pipes is carried out according to GOST 10692.
