1. This standard applies to calibrated steel square in size from 3 to 100 mm.
2. The size of the section steel and limit deviations thereon shall be as specified in the hell.1 and in table.1.

Notes:
1. On customer request-gauge steel can be made of intermediate sizes not shown in table.1. Maximum deviations in this case should conform to the standards established for the next higher size.
Steel with maximum deviation of h12 was manufactured before January 1, 1986
2. The cross-sectional area and weight of 1 m square of steel is calculated based on nominal size. The density of steel is equal to 7.85 g/cm.
3. Square steel is made in bars. On demand of the consumer steel is produced in coils.
4. Depending on purpose bars are made:
— the measured length;
— multiple of gauging length;
— random length with the residue up to 10% of the batch weight;
— limited length within off-gage.
The rest are bars with a length of not less than 1.5 m.
5. The bars are produced in length from 2 to 6.5 m At the customer’s request bars are made of large lengths.

8. Maximum deviations along the length of the bars in fixed lengths and multiple lengths shall not exceed:
30 mm — length of bars up to 4 m;
+50 mm at length of over 4 meters bars
9. The deviation from straightness of bars should not exceed the values given in table.2.

Deviation from straightness should be uniform throughout its length. At the ends of short longitudinal bars in the bends are not permitted.

10. Torsion of rods of 1 m length (DWG.2) should not exceed 3°.

11. Cut the rod must be at right angles to its longitudinal axis. Allowable cut end Squareness, mm should not exceed:
0,17 — at the side of the square to 16 mm;
3 mm — at the side of the square over 16 up to 30 mm;
5 mm — at the side of the square more than 30 mm.

12. Brand and technical requirements are established by the relevant standards.
13. The length of the folded ends of bars should not exceed the values given in table.3.
