This standard applies to cold rolled steel strip designed to protect cables from damage.

1. CLASSIFICATION AND ASSORTMENT
1.1. The tape is manufactured in two groups:
And tape galvanized;
B — tape is uncoated.
1.2. The group’s feed And depending on the purpose and method of galvanizing are divided into subgroups:
APL — tape, hot-dipped galvanized or electroplating, for the manufacture of flat armor;
APR tape, galvanized by electroplating, for the manufacture of the armor profile;
APR — tape, hot-dip galvanised, for the manufacture of specialized armor.
1.3. The group’s feed And depending on the zinc coating is divided into two classes:
— first class — 1;
— second class — 2.

1.6. At the customer’s request tape B group of all thicknesses shall be manufactured with a width of 260 mm with limit deviation width ±2 mm.
At the request of the consumer, the troupe B tape shall be manufactured with a size of 0,30х321 mm with maximum deviation in thickness of minus 0,08 mm with limit deviation width ±2 mm.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. The tape shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
The tape is made from low carbon steel according to GOST 1050, GOST 380, GOST 16523 and other normative-technical documentation.

2.2. The tape surface groups And must be covered with a continuous layer of zinc. Flaking and cracking of the zinc coating are not allowed. Scratches are allowed, white patches and black spots on the surface of the galvanized strip, local nodules of zinc on the ribbon of a subgroup of APL and nodules zinc value not more than the maximum deviations in thickness of the tape, counting from the actual size on the tape subgroup APR if the zinc coating at the site meets the requirements of PP.2.5 and 2.6.

2.3. On the surface of the strips of group B are not allowed cracks, flaws, scale, rust. Not allowed a single shell, dents, bumps, scratches, risks, rabiza if their depth exceeds 30%, the maximum deviations in thickness. 2.4. On the edges of the belt should be free of nicks, burrs, and debris greater than maximum deviations in thickness of the tape.
2.5. The zinc coating must be durable and withstand the bend test:
— at an angle of 180° around a mandrel equal to four times the thickness of the tape (), without subsequent straightening — tape subgroups of APL;
in profiling rollers with the subsequent winding of at least three coils on the mandrel diameter 20 mm — tape subgroups APR and APR.

2.6. The surface density of the zinc coating applied on both sides of the tape surface, should be in g/m, not less:
200 — 1-th class;
100 — for 2nd class.
2.7. The mechanical properties of the tape must conform to the standards specified in table.2.

2.8. The tape is manufactured in rolls with internal diameter 175−205 mm. At the request of the customer can be manufactured with internal tape roll diameter 300 mm. the winding of the ribbon roll should be tight.
2.9. The tape subgroup APR allowed to produce in rolls of an internal diameter and a width of not more than 200 mm. the Mass of a coil shall not exceed 150 kg. customer’s request can be manufactured in coils with weight up to 300 kg.
2.10. The coil (a coil) should consist of one segment which is allowed no more than three splices overlap, do not reduce the strength of the tape. The thickness of the strip at the weld should not exceed 2.5 thicknesses. Permissible magnitude of overlap of the tape at the weld needs to be in mm, not more:
15 — band width 10 mm;
25 — strips 15−55 mm;
35 — for tape width 60 mm.
At the request of the consumer tape subgroups APR, APR must be manufactured in rolls (coils), consisting of one segment, without welding.

2.11. The outer diameters of coils shall be as specified in table.3.

At the customer’s request tape widths 30 mm and more are manufactured in coils with an outer diameter of not more than 1000 mm.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. The ribbon take parties. The party should consist of strips of the same size, one of the groups and sub-groups of the same species and class, the same melting, the same treatment and be accompanied by a document about quality that contains:
is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— the symbol of the tape;
— test results;
— the gross weight of the party;
the weight of the party;
— the batch number;
— number of packages;
— the designation of the standard metal.

3.2. To check the appearance and size select 2% of the rolls (skeins) of party tape.
3.3. To check strength and elongation of the party selected 2% of the rolls (skeins), but at least two rolls (skeins).
3.4. To check the strength and mass of zinc coating from party select 10% of rolls (skeins), but at least three rolls (skeins).
3.5. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators it is carried out re-testing at twice the sample taken from the same batch.
The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.

4. TEST METHODS
4.1. The thickness of the tape, the amount of defects on the surface and edges is measured by using micrometer (GOST 6507). The thickness of the tape measure at a minimum distance of 3 mm from the edge.
The tape width measured with calipers (GOST 166).

4.2. The quality of the surface and the edges of the belt check the second to fifth spiral coil (coils) without the use of magnifying devices.
4.3. Bending test at an angle of 180° around the mandrel is carried out according to GOST 14019*.

For the Flexural testing take one sample width of 20 mm from each coil (coils) taken for testing. It is allowed to conduct testing on samples having a width equal to the width of the tape.
The bend test in the profiling rollers is carried out according to the method given in the Appendix.
4.4. To control the zinc coating selected one sample from the coil (coils) taken for testing. The surface density of the zinc coating on the tape to determine the weight or volume-gasometrical method. The weight method is used for particularly precise definition in the case of disagreements in the assessment of the quality of the tape. Length of tape sample to determine the surface density of the zinc coating shall conform to the standards specified in table.4.

4.4.1. Weight method
Surface density of zinc on the surface of the tape is determined by dissolving the coating from the samples of tape in a solution of inhibited sulphuric acid of the composition specified in claim
The test is carried out in the following order:
a) samples of the galvanized strip is degreased in alcohol, benzene, or gasoline and wipe with a clean cloth;
b) weigh the sample;
C) dissolve the zinc coating;
d) the samples are washed in distilled water;
d) wipe with a clean cloth to remove moisture and weighed again;
e) calculate the average density of the zinc coating () in g/mon both sides of the tape by the formula

4.4.2. Space-gasometrical method
Removing zinc coating produced in a device consisting of a reservoir and connected to it with a rubber hose, a glass burette with two taps, in full immersion of the samples in the solution at ambient temperature until the cessation of gassing.
The test is carried out in the following order:
a) take samples and tape measure set for test length in accordance with the requirements of table.4;
b) degreased samples of the tape in alcohol, benzene, or gasoline and wipe with a clean cloth;
in) dissolved zinc coating that completely capture the evolved hydrogen;
g) measure the volume of evolved hydrogen gas and lead to normal conditions (pressure 101 kPa (760 mm Hg.St.), temperature 0 °C) using the correction factor table;
d) the average density of the zinc coating () in g/mon both sides of the tape is calculated by the formula

The dissolution of zinc is produced in an aqueous solution of the mixture of acids:
sulfuric according to GOST 4204 — 100 g/DM;
— a salt according to GOST 3118 — 34 g/DM
or in the inhibited solution of sulfuric acid prepared in the following manner: 2 g of antimony oxide (SbO) or arsenic oxide (AsO) was dissolved in 60 ml of hydrochloric acid according to GOST 3118 density of 1.19 g/cmand made up to 1 DMof sulfuric acid according to GOST 4204концентрацией 80 g/DM. 4.5. The tensile test is carried out according to GOST 11701 on samples cut along the direction of rolling.
For tensile testing take one sample from each roll is taken for testing.
Tape width of 20 mm and less shall be tested on samples having a width equal to the width of the tape. Ribbon of a width exceeding 20 mm cut out samples having a width of 20 mm.
The calculated sample length of the tape in mm:
50 — with a width of 10 mm;
60 «" 15 mm;
80 «" 20 mm.
The edges of the tape before the test should be thoroughly sanded.
4.6. Allowed to apply statistical and non-destructive testing methods agreed upon by the manufacturer and consumer.

5. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
5.1. Each coil (a coil) should be tied in at least three places soft metal ribbon or wire according to GOST 3560, GOST 3282 or other regulatory-technical documentation.
Allowed other ways of fastening the turns of strip in coils (rolls), ensuring the safety of coils (coils) during transport.

5.2. Tape B should be coated with a thin layer of inhibited lubrication, which protects the tape against corrosion.
Types of greases: a mixture of GSD and industrial oil-12A AND I-20A GOST 20799 in the ratio 1:3, the mixture gas НГ203А for OST 38.01436 oil and spindle oil according to GOST 20799 in the ratio 1:3, grease K-17 GOST 10877.
At the request of the consumer, the tape should be coated with grease NG 216 or other types of grease according to normative-technical documentation, or is produced without coating with lubricant.

5.3. The tape must be Packed in one of the following ways.
5.3.1. The rolls (coils) are placed on wooden pallets in the stack (package) weight up to 1 t or on metal trays in the stack (package) weight up to 1.25 t Ream (package) wrap a layer of paper, then a layer of cloth and attach to the pallet made according to normative-technical documentation, not less than four metal bands (Fig.1) the graveyard 3560 or other regulatory-technical documentation. Allowed wrapping of the foot (package) galvanized strip is only a two-layer wrapping paper, no wrapping cloth.

5.3.2. The coils are placed in the foot (bag) weighing up to 5,0 t Ream (package) wrap a layer of paper, then the metal plate and firmly secured by at least two transverse and one longitudinal metal strips of tape according to GOST 3560 or other normative technical documentation (DWG.2). — other types of packaging materials according to normative-technical documentation, with the exception of cotton and linen fabrics and also stitched the flap of the waste of the textile industry.
5.3.2,
5.3. The tape is sent to the far North and remote areas, Packed in accordance with the requirements of this standard.

5.4. Each cargo should be attached a label containing:

6. MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
6.1. The manufacturer guarantees the conformity of the tape to the requirements of this standard when complying with the storage conditions within 6 months from the date of manufacture, with the exception of the mechanical properties of the tape B and tape group A, galvanized, electroplating, made from boiling and semi-killed steel grades.

APPLICATION (reference). TEST METHOD GALVANIZED STRIP BENDING IN THE PROFILING ROLLERS

Reference
The bend test in the profiling rollers is subjected to galvanized tape intended for the manufacture of specialized armor of electrical cables (ribbon subgroups APR and APR).
The technological tape testing Flexural profiling rollers are designed to test the strength of the zinc coating, that is, its ability to withstand a given plastic deformation.
Tests are conducted on samples with a length of 200−250 mm, selected from the rolls (coils) of the ribbon, in the delivery state, in accordance with paragraph 3.4 of this standard.
1. The test fixture
1.1. The bend test is conducted on a special fixture design VNIIMETMASH. The scheme of testing is given in hell.1.

1.5. The profile of the working surface of the rollers shall be as given in hell.2.

1.6. The fixture is supplied with a pair of sets of profiling rollers, providing the possibility of testing the bending of the tape for the relevant reservation of all sizes stipulated in the product mix GOST 3559.
2. The test procedure
2.1. For the test sample of the tape is laid between the two main rollers, one end of which is tucked into a slot of the pulling mandrel with a diameter of 20 mm.
2.2. The upper main roller mounted in the upper movable slide, by turning the handle with the Cam is lowered into the sample and presses it against the lower roller particular.
2.3. The rotation of the working arm, the sample tape is stretched between the main rollers is a predetermined profile and circumferential to the mandrel.
2.4. The sample tape is removed from the mandrel and subjected to a visual inspection.
2.5. The tape is considered satisfactory if the surface and edges of the test sample no delamination or cracking of the zinc coating.
Allowed the detachment of nodules zinc coating while maintaining the continuity of the main cover.
