6. EDITION Changes N 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, approved in April 1981, December 1982, June 1987, August 1989, December 1991 (IUS 7−81, 3−83, 9−87, 12−89, 5−92)
This standard applies to the tape rolled high strength steels, tool and spring steel for the manufacture of spring parts and spring, with the exception of clockwork.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3, 4).
1. CLASSIFICATION AND ASSORTMENT
1.1. The tape is divided into:
a) according to the type of processing:
heat-treated (after quenching with tempering),
nagaremono — G;
b) for the strength (ultimate tensile strength or hardness) into groups:
first — 1P,
second — 2P,
third — 3P;
C) for precision manufacturing:
thickness:
normal exactly
increased accuracy — FRI,
high precision — W;
width:
normal exactly
increased accuracy — PH
high — precision HS;
d) kind of surface:
bright,
bright with the colors of a tint — TS,
polished,
colorsound,
dark — H
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
1.2. Tape made sizes specified in table.1.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Tape shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner, of steel grades 60 Pogost 1050; U7A, U8A, U9A, U10A, U12A according to GOST 1435; 70, 65G, 60S2A, 70S2KHA according to GOST 14959.
In the manufacture of the tapes from the patented wire-billets chemical composition of steels in accordance with note 6 of table 1 GOST 14959.
At the request of the consumer tape is made from a specific grade of steel from among those listed in paragraph 2.1.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3, 5).
2.2. The tape should be heat-treated or work-hardened. Treatment is determined by the manufacturer.
2.3. Rupture strength or hardness of the tape shall be as specified in table.4.

2.5. On the surface of the tape should not be sunsets, bundles, scratches and rust. Not allowed longitudinal scratches, shell, the risks, the prints from the rolls, the depth or height for light, bright with the colors of a tint, polished, colorsound strips exceeds half of the maximum deviations in thickness, for dark strips — limit deviation on thickness.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3, 4).
2.6. Light tape should have a surface from light gray to dark gray color. On the surface of the bright strip allowed the remnants of the technological lubricant (oil, soap and powder) and copper plating.
