Resolution of the USSR State Committee on standards dated March 27, 1980, N 1390, the validity period is set with
Replace GOST 14792−69
1. This standard applies to parts and blanks, cut out mechanized oxygen cutting of sheet commercial quality carbon steel with a thickness of 5−100 mm and mechanized plasma-arc sharp of sheet steel (quality carbon, high-alloy corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant, heat-resistant) and sheets of aluminium and its alloys with a thickness of 5−60 mm.
The standard establishes the accuracy of cut parts and blanks and indicators of quality of cut surface.
2. Accuracy class of the cut parts or blanks and indicators of quality of cut surface should be determined after removal of the slag and burrs from the cut surface.
3. Accuracy classes and limit deviations of dimensions of cut parts and blanks from the nominal dimensions shall be as specified in table. 1.
4. Limit deviations of the cut-out parts and pieces from. straightness are established at half the rate from the norms specified in tab. 1.

Note. Details and blanks should be measured with an accuracy of 0.5 mm.
5. The surface quality of the cut is determined by a combination of the following parameters: surface deviation from perpendicularity of cut, surface roughness of the cut, the heat affected zone.
6. The maximum deviation of the cut surface from perpendicularity (Fig. 1) is set depending on the thickness of the cut metal.
Damn.1. The maximum deviation of the cut surface from perpendicularity
— surface deviation from perpendicularity of the cut
Damn.1
Classes of cut parts and blanks depending on the greatest variance of the surface cut from the perpendicularity, and the greatest deviations from the cut face Squareness shall be as specified in table.2.

3 | Plasma arc | 2,3 | 3,0 | 4,0 | - |
Note. The radius of the melting of the top edge must not exceed 2 mm.
7. Roughness of cut surface (Fig. 2) should be determined by measuring the height of the roughness at 10 points on the basic length of 8 mm.
Damn.2. Roughness of cut surface
Damn.2
The roughness of cut surface measured for thickness of cut metal up to 60 mm in the middle of the thickness over 60 mm in two places, receding from the top and bottom edges by 10 mm.
Classes of cut parts and blanks depending on the surface roughness of the cut and the maximum value of the height of the roughness shall be as specified in table. 3

Note. On the cut surface allowed to individual bumps in excess of norms of a roughness shown in the table, the value and the number of which is defined in the technological documentation depending on the requirements of the cut parts or the workpiece.
8. The heat affected zone is only installed for plasma-arc cutting.
Cracks in the heat affected zone and in the zone of the molten metal is not allowed.
Classes of cut parts and blanks depending on the maximum value of the HAZ and the maximum value of the heat affected zone shall be as specified in table. 4.
Table 4
Classes | Regulations in the thickness of the metal (for aluminum alloys), mm | ||
5−12 | 13−30 | 31−60 | |
1 | 0,1 | 0,2 | 0,4 |
2 | 0,4 | 0,8 | 1,6 |
3 | 0,8 | 1,6 | 3,2 |
Notes:
1. The value of the heat affected zone includes the thickness of the zone of the molten metal.
2. The thickness of the heat affected zone is measured from the actual received surface.
3. Rules for carbon steels are doubled, and for austenitic steels, reduced in two times.
9. Classes the cut parts or blanks should be specified in engineering documentation for parts and blanks in normative-technical documentation on the machines for oxygen and plasma-arc cutting of metals and marked a four-digit number to indicate the class of accuracy of the cut parts or blanks (tab. 1) and classes depending on the deviation of the cut face from perpendicularity (PL. 2), the surface roughness of the cut (table. 3) and the values of heat affected zone (tab. 4).
If any indicator does not define instead of define put 0.
Before the four-digit number must be indicated marking method of cutting:
To — oxygen cutting;
P — plasma-arc cutting.
Example of designation of the classes of the part or billet, cut plasma-arc cutting, the 1st accuracy class, 2nd class, depending on the deviation of the cut from the perpendicularity, in the absence of requirements to the roughness of the cut, 2nd class depending on values of HAZ:
