This standard applies to iron powder obtained by the methods of restoration and spraying of molten metal high pressure water or compressed air, designed for the manufacture of articles by powder metallurgy, welding materials and other purposes.

1. CLASSIFICATION
1.1. The powder is divided:
according to the method of manufacture:

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. The powder must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
2.2. The chemical composition of the powder should conform to the standards specified in table.1.

2.4. The powder should have impurities and lumps.
2.5. Moisture content of powder should not exceed 0.25%.
2.6. The bulk density of the powder shall conform to the standards specified in table.3.

2.7. Allowable variation values of the bulk density of the powder within a single party shall not exceed the average value of bulk density in this instalment:
— for fractions, 160 and 200… ±0.08 g/cm, according to customer’s request… ±0.05 g/cm;
— for fractions, 450, 315 and 71… ±0,10 g/cm.
2.8. Compactibility of powder fractions 160 and 200 must conform to the standards specified in table.4.

Notes:
1. Compactibility is determined for the pressure of 700 MPa. At the request of the consumer compactibility is determined for a pressure of 400 MPa instead of 700 MPa.
2. At the request of the consumer density powder brand PZHR2 at a pressure of 700 MPa shall not be less than 7.1 g/cm.
3. The norm density of the powder size class 315 and the pressing pressure determined by agreement between manufacturer and consumer.
2.9. The strength of pressovac and fluidity of powder fractions 160 and 200 must conform to the standards specified in table.5.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. Powder take consignments weighing not more than 12 so the Party should consist of the average of the powder shall be furnished in one document about quality that contains:
— trademark or name of the manufacturer and trademark;
— the batch number;
— date of manufacture;
the results of the test.

3.4. The value of the residue, insoluble in hydrochloric acid, the yield of intermediate fractions of granulometric composition of the powder, humidity and variation of bulk density of powder within the party is guaranteed by the production technology and manufacturer not specified.
3.5. Compactibility of powder size class 315, the fluidity of the powder with a bulk density of 22 is determined by the requirement of the user.

4. TEST METHODS
4.1. Tests carried out on one representative sample.
Sampling and sample preparation — according to GOST 23148.
The selection of a representative sample of the moving average produced at a point distant from the surface or wall of the moving average not less than 300 mm.
The selection of new samples for re-testing carried out after additional mixing of the powder in prednicare for 5 min.
Weight of finished samples shall be not less than 1400
The final samples are taken:
— to determine the chemical composition and residue insoluble in hydrochloric acid, 100 g;
for determination of granulometric composition — 200 g;
— to determine bulk density — 300 g;
— to determine the compactibility — 400 g;
— to determine the strength of the pressing — 200 g;
— to determine the yield is 200 g.
The appearance of the powder is determined on a representative sample.
Carrying out several tests on one sample or parts of it.
4.2. Mass fraction of phosphorus, silicon, manganese, sulfur, and carbon in samples of powder is determined according to GOST 28473, 16412.2 GOST-GOST 16412.5, 16412.7 GOST, GOST 30550, solids content is according to GOST 30550. Determination of the mass fraction of oxygen on the mass loss during annealing in hydrogen is carried out according to GOST 18897, of the total mass loss is subtracted mass fraction of carbon and moisture. Allowed in the determination of oxygen (mass loss during annealing in hydrogen) according to GOST 18897 apply the tableting portions of the analyzed powder.
Allowed the determination of the chemical composition of other methods providing the required accuracy of the analysis. If there is disagreement in the assessment of the chemical composition, it is carried out according to GOST 16412.2−16412.5 GOST, GOST 16412.7, 16412.9 GOST, GOST 18897, 28473 GOST, GOST 30550 .
4.3. Granulometric composition is determined by GOST 18318 on meshes from a number of: 0,450; 0,315; 0,250; 0,200; 0,160; 0,100; 0,071; 0,045 mm.

4.4. The lack of lumps and impurities in the powder check inspection without any special equipment.
4.5. To determine the mass fraction of moisture a portion of the powder mass 10 g by drying at a temperature of 100−105 °C is brought to constant weight. Weighing is carried out with a random error of ±0.002 g. other Permitted methods of providing the required accuracy.
4.6. Bulk density is determined according to GOST 19440 through a funnel with an outlet diameter of 5 mm.
To control the variation of bulk density within the put up party select five samples from different containers and each determine bulk density. 4.7. Determination of compactibility is carried out according to GOST 25280 using a mold with a diameter of 11.3 mm. the sample is allowed to use the mold with the diameter of the specimen 25 mm. in case of dispute use a mold with a sample diameter of 11.3 mm.
4.8. The strength of the pressing is determined according to GOST 25282 at a density pressing (6,50±0,05) g/cmand the average height of gap 6 mm.

4.9. The fluidity of the powder is determined according to GOST 20899.

5. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
5.1. The powder is Packed in bags of polyethylene film according to GOST 10354, GOST 16272или other NTD with a minimum thickness of 0.18 mm. seal Filled bags, and vacuum sealed. The mass of powder in one bag — packing unit — should not exceed 25 kg. Bags are on a pallet according to GOST 9078 or another NTD in the overpack, cover with a shrink film according to the current NTD, and is subjected to heat shrinkage. By agreement with the consumer allowed other kinds of package according to the agreed NTD, ensuring the safety of the powder during transportation and storage.
Dimensions of a transport package must meet the requirements of GOST 24587.
Allowed stacking of the transport packets of bags in two rows of cans in three rows, but with the loading of wagons to full load or capacity.
By agreement with the consumer packaging of powder in specialized containers at the agreed NTD mass of one packing place to 5 tons, ensuring the safety of the quality of the powder during transportation and storage.

5.2. Weight of cargo space with mechanized loading and unloading in open vehicles shall not exceed 5 tonnes in indoor — 1250 kg.
5.3. Every bag, jar, container supply label:
— the manufacturer or the trademark;
— the names and designation of the powder by brand, particle size distribution and bulk density;
— the release date and batch number;
— the number of packing stations in the party;

5.4. Transport marking — according to GOST 14192 with the application of manipulation sign «Protect from moisture».
5.5. Transportation of powder should be carried by all types of covered vehicles in accordance with goods transportation regulations applied to this type of transport. Transportation of cargo weighing 1250 kg is produced on the open rolling stock, stowage and securing of cargo shall be made in accordance with the technical conditions of loading and fastening of cargoes, approved by MPs. When transporting small shipments cans powder set in slatted wooden boxes according to GOST 2991 or crates according to GOST 12082 or other NTD; powder Packed in tin containers or boxes.
General requirements for the transportation is made according to GOST 7566.
5.6. Powder should be stored in original packaging in a dry place.

6. MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
6.1. The manufacturer guarantees the conformity of the powder with the requirements of this standard, subject to consumer storage conditions.
Warranty period — 8 months from the date of manufacture.
