This standard applies to multifaceted ceramic plate mechanically attached to the cutting tool.

1. NOTATION
1.1. Numeric and alphanumeric designations of plates according to GOST 19042−80.
1.2. The symbol plates when ordering with the all-Union classifier of products (OKP).
The complete code of OKP legend plates consists of 16 characters, the first six of which (code VCG OKP) is a brand of ceramics, the following four characters (code batch-sequence number GST) — the shape of a plate, the last six digits of the size of the plates. For plates with non-standard chamfer, a conventional digital designation consists of 18 characters, 2 where the last character indicates the cipher width and chamfer angle and separated by a hyphen. Code VCG (the highest classification group) OKP for ceramics grades:

3.2. Allowed to produce plates with all forms =7.94 mm instead of 8.00 mm, =2.4 mm instead of 2.5 mm =3.2 mm instead of 3.0 mm.

4. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
4.1. Plates shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard working drawings, approved in the prescribed manner.
4.2. Plate material, — cutting ceramics brands VOK-60, b-3, and marks the SAI-71 GOST 26630−85.

4.3. Plates shall be manufactured of two classes:
U — ground at the base and rear surfaces;
G — ground at the base and rear surfaces with tighter tolerances.
4.4. Maximum deviations of controlled parameters of the plates shall conform to the values specified in table.6.

4.6. The plates must be manufactured with chamfers width =0.2 mm and angle =20° at the perimeter on two sides (Fig.6).

4.7. The roughness parameter of the plates according to GOST 2789−73 should not exceed microns

4.8. The plate surfaces should be free of cracks, chipping and sticking.
4.9. Chipping on the cutting edges of the plates vary depending on class size and location on the cutting edge.

4.9.4. In zones A and b plates class U tolerance should not be more than one spall on each side of the plate. In each zone plates With tolerances classes of U and G should not be more than one spall.
4.9.3,
4.10. The plate is allowed outside of the cylindrical bore without chamfer.

4.11. The reliability of the plates (medium and installed periods of stability) and the failure criterion must conform to the normative-technical documentation for a cutting tool equipped with the appropriate multi-faceted ceramic insert.

5. ACCEPTANCE
5.1. To check the compliance plates requirements of this standard the manufacturer shall carry out acceptance inspection.
5.2. Control for compliance with the requirements of section 4.2 — according to GOST 20559−75.
5.3. Defects in the plates are divided into critical, significant and insignificant.
Critical are the defects associated with the violation of requirements specified in the PP.4.8 and 4.9.
To include significant defects associated with violation of requirements specified in clause 4.4 dimensions and n.4.7.
To include minor defects associated with violation of requirements specified in the PP.4.4 (except size ), 4.5, and 4.6.
5.4. Control for compliance with the requirements of PP.4.8 and 4.9 — solid.
5.5. Control for compliance with the requirements of PP.4.4−4.7 — sampling according to GOST 18242−72*. Plate on control made by the parties.

The party should consist of two plates one formulator, one mark of a hard alloy, performed in one technological process for a certain period of time and simultaneously presented for acceptance on the same document.
5.6. Control should be performed on a group of parameters related to significant or insignificant defects.

5.9. Batch of plates is accepted if the number of defects in the sample group parameters does not exceed the acceptance number.

6. TEST METHODS

7. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
7.1. On the side (rear) surface of each product should be marked with paint according to GOST 10503−71 the symbol of the brand cutting ceramics: a circle with a diameter not exceeding 3 mm red color for ceramic insert brand VOK-60, white ceramic insert In-3 and green for plates ceramic wok-71.

7.2. Plate one party packaging in quantities of no more than 10 pieces in consumer packaging (special plastic boxes with individual cells for each plate). Plate, the dimensions of which exceed 16x16 mm, allowed in the same amount to wrap in cellophane according to GOST 7730−89 or other transparent polymer film.
