3 INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME
1 Scope
This standard applies to products made of mesh for gabion structures (hereinafter — mesh gabion products) designed to protect soil from erosion and device landscape structures.
Examples of the application of gabion mesh products are given in Appendix A.

3 Definitions
This standard applies the following terms with respective definitions:
gabion mesh products (GSE): Bulk product of various forms of wire twisted with hexagonal cells mesh according to GOST R 51285, intended for the formation of mesh structures.
gabion structures: Volumetric mesh structure of various forms of wire twisted with hexagonal cells mesh, filled with stone used to protect soil from erosion. (The definition of this term is set to GOST R 51285.)
aperture: Mesh partition, used for reinforcing habiendolo mesh products.
4 the Types, basic parameters and dimensions
4.1 GSI performed the following types.
Form:
— K — box;
— KA — box with a reinforcing panel;
— M — mattress-tufanye;
— TS — cylindrical.
According to the type of coating applied to the mesh:
— TS — coated with zinc;
— TSP — coated with zinc and polymer;
— COMM — plated alloy of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal;
— CAMP — plated alloy of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal and polymer.

The reinforcing panel is a continuation of the bottom of the ICG. The bottom of the ICG and the reinforcing panel is made of whole cloth grid. Fabrication of the reinforcing panel as a separate element with subsequent attachment to the product is not allowed.
4.5 Basic dimensions of the box-shaped reinforcing panel, the ICG shall be as specified in table 2.

4.10 the GSE box (except size 1,5x1,0x1,0 and 1,5x1,0x0,5, see table 1), mattress-tufanye shall be divided by diaphragms into sections by length, and box-shaped with a reinforcing plate width 1 m.
The opposite wall, and the wall of the diaphragm box-shaped and box-shaped with a reinforcing bar of the ICG can be connected with a wire tie along the length and width of the ICG with a uniform step is not more than 0.35 M.

4.11 permitted by agreement between the manufacturer and the customer produce, the ICG special shapes and sizes other than those specified in figures 1−4 and in tables 1−4.
5 Technical requirements
5.1, GSI shall be constructed in accordance with the requirements of this standard mesh according to GOST R 51285:
— box — mesh # 80 or 100 of wire with a diameter of 2.7 and 3.0 mm;
— box-shaped with a reinforcing panel mesh # 80 of the wire diameter of 2.7 mm, covered with polymer;
— mattress-tufanye — mesh # 60 wire with a diameter of 2.2 and 2.4 mm or # 80 from wire with a diameter of 2.4; 2.7 and 3.0 mm;
— cylindrical — N 80 mesh wire diameter of 2.7 and 3.0 mm.
5.2 Mechanical strength of the ICG should be provided with the quality of the mesh, including the absence of unacceptable defects, as well as mechanized ways of cutting sweep of the ICG, fringing the edges of the sweep wire edges, and firmware of the mating faces of the ICG by wire strapping.
5.3 Wire edge, strapping and ties should have a coating of a kind which corresponds to the type of coating wire mesh ICG according to GOST R 51285.
5.4 Diameters of the wire edge, strapping and ties depending on the diameter of the wire mesh of the ICG shall be as specified in table 5.

5.5 Parameters and surface mesh of the diaphragm must correspond to the parameters and type of coating of the mesh of the ICG.
5.6 Limit deviations of linear dimensions of a box and a box with a reinforcing panel, the ICG should be no more than ±5% dimensions specified in tables 1, 2.
5.7 maximum deviations Dinah and width mattress-tobacnih ICG should be no more than ±5%, and height — no more than ±10% of the amounts specified in table 3.
5.8 Limit deviations of the length of the cylindrical ICG should be no more than ±5%, and diameter shall not exceed ±10% of the amounts specified in table 4.
5.9 Packaging and labelling
5.9.1 ICG put in the form of scans. Sweep GSI specific types Packed in bags.
5.9.2 Each package GSI should be tied with binding wire of not less than four places.
Cover the mattress-tobacnih ICG can be Packed separately.
5.9.3 each package GSI attach a label, which indicate:
— name and trademark (if any) of the manufacturer;
— the symbol of the ICG;
— the number of ICG in the package;
— weight of package in kilograms;
— the date of manufacture of the ICG.
5.9.4 Transport marking under GOST 14192.
5.9.5 At the customer’s supply of GSI can be provided with a wire tie with the same kind of coverage and diameter presented in table 5, in coils weighing up to 10 mass% of the supplied party.
6 acceptance Rules
6.1 the ICG accepted by the parties. The party should consist of the ICG of the same size with a coating of the same species and should be issued a document about quality that contains:
— name and trademark (if any) of the manufacturer;
— the symbol of the ICG;
— the number of ICG in the party;
— the date of manufacture of the ICG.
6.2 To check the completeness and sizes of the ICG, the quality of the edging edges, fixing diaphragms and end walls select 3 (three) products from the party.
6.3 If unsatisfactory results are re-tested for twice the number of GSI. The results of re-examination extends to the whole party.
7 control Methods
7.1 the Length, width, height, GSI (for cylindrical length and diameter) determine the measuring tape according to GOST 7502 or measuring ruler according to GOST 427 with a scale division of the measuring instrument 1 mm.
7.2 the Diameter of the wire edge binding and ties are measured in two mutually perpendicular directions in at least three places using a micrometer according to GOST 6507.
7.3 the Absence of unacceptable defects in the mesh, the quality of the cutting, fixing diaphragms and end walls, fringing the edges of the scanner, the ICG test visual inspection of the product.
8 Transportation and storage
8.1 GSI transporterowych packages according to GOST 24597 and GOST 26663 in the indoor and outdoor means of transport in accordance with cargo carriage regulations applicable to transport of this species.
Can be transported by rail in open rolling stock packages of the ICG, which in size can be uploaded to a covered vehicle. Transport designation of cargo:
Mesh ferrous metals*
The weight of the package — not more than 1500 kg.
8.2 GSI is stored in horizontal position in closed warehouses. Storage conditions — according to group 3 GOST 15150.

ICG is used:
box — for the construction of retaining walls, lining of weirs, Bank stabilization, etc.;
— box-shaped with a reinforcing panel for mounting of unstable soil mass instead of retaining walls, fixing the slopes and slopes of embankments, etc.;
— mattress-tufanye landscape works for lining of canals and dams, fixing slopes and slopes of embankments, as well as in the form of «aprons» to protect the foundations of structures, etc.;
— cylindrical — for creation of bases of retaining walls, protection from degradation of hydraulic structures, etc.
