1 Scope
This standard applies to wire twisted wire mesh with hexagonal cells intended for gabion structures, protective barriers and other mesh structures used for Bank stabilization, soil reinforcement, strengthening of slopes and slopes, protection against rockfalls, avalanches, debris flows, etc. (hereinafter — the grid).

3 Definitions
In this standard, the definitions given in Appendix A.
4 Classification, basic parameters and dimensions
4.1 Mesh is manufactured from hexagonal cells are mutually twisted (twisted) wires by a method of twisting two wires in one direction for a complete rotation of 180° with a minimum number of twists equal to three.
Scheme of grid cells is shown in figure 1.

4.2 Mesh klassificeret the coating of the wire. Requirements for the wire used for the manufacture of nets, is given in Appendix B.
4.3 Main parameters and grid sizes are shown in table 1.

5 Technical requirements
5.1 Mesh made from low carbon heat treated wire of steel grades according to GOST 380, coated with zinc or a zinc alloy with aluminum and mischmetal, zinc, and a polymer alloy of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal and polymer. Requirements for the wire is given in Appendix B.
5.2 In the mesh should not be torn and nesmith wires. Splice into the ends of the wire by extension, twisting or welding.
On the surface of the wire mesh without coating polymer should not be cracking and flaking of the coating. The presence of the powdery peeling of coating in areas of lay is not a rejection symptom.
5.3 Mesh produce one coiled length roll weight 1000 kg net Rolls can be cut into cards.
5.4 In the marking grid to the end of the roll or package must be attached to the label, which indicate:
— trademark and (or) the name of the manufacturer;
— the symbol grid;
the mesh width in millimetres and length in metres;
the total number of mesh in square meters;
— the date of manufacture of the grid;
— number of rolls or cards in the package.
Transport marking grid — according to GOST 14192.
5.5 When packaging a roll of mesh ligated in two places at the ends. Steel coil mesh width of 2 m or more optionally ligated by a spiral wire, covered with zinc or a zinc alloy with aluminum and mischmetal.
Allowed other ways of dressing to ensure the safety of the rolls.
The grid maps formed in the packages. The package should consist of a grid of the same size and type of coating wire. The weight of the package — not more than 1000 kg. Number of meshes in the package specified in the order or determined by the manufacturer. Package tie not less than four places with wire or tape according to regulatory documents.

6 acceptance Rules
6.1 Mesh take parties. The party should consist of a grid of one size and one kind of coverage shall be furnished a document about quality that contains:
— trademark and (or) the name of the manufacturer;
— the symbol grid;
the mesh width in millimetres and length in metres;
the total number of mesh in square meters;
— at the request of the consumer test results of the original wire.
6.2 size and mesh quality choose one roll of 50 or three cards that verify:
the quality of strand;
— the size of the cell;
the diameter of the wire;
— the width and length of the grid.

6.3 If unsatisfactory test results of at least one indicator, according to him, repeat tests are carried out at twice the number of rolls.
7 control Methods
7.1 the quality of the surface mesh and the quality of lay checked visually in the manufacture of the grid.
7.2 cell Size was measured in three randomly selected areas of the roll of mesh with an accuracy of 1 mm. One of the places of measurement are selected in the middle of the grid, the other two edges at distance at least half of the cell from the edge of the grid.
Each of the measuring sites check the dimensions of 10 consecutive cells.
The cell size () is determined in accordance with figure 1.
7.3 the Length of the mesh is determined using a meter or measure with a ruler. The width of the mesh measured in any place a tape measure or ruler with a scale division of 1 mm.

7.4 the diameter of the wire is measured anywhere in the grid to stretch without sagging of the coating measuring instrument with division value of 0.01 mm.

8 Transportation and storage
8.1 Grid transporterowych rolls or packages according to GOST 24597 and GOST 26663 in the indoor and outdoor means of transport in accordance with cargo carriage regulations applicable to transport of this species. Allowed the railway transportation in open rolling stock packages, that its size cannot be loaded in covered vehicles.

APPENDIX A

A. 1 Mesh structures — three-dimensional mesh structures of various shapes of wire mesh of twisted hexagonal cells, filled with stone used to protect soil from erosion.
A. 2 Coating alloy of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal — coating of steel wire mesh with a zinc alloy containing 5% aluminum and 0.01% of mischmetal.
A. 3 Mischmetal is an alloy of rare earth metals with predominant content of cerium and lanthanum.
A. 4 the Roll of mesh is rolled up the screen cloth in the form of a cylinder.

C — zinc coating;
CAM — alloy coating of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal;
CPU — zinc coating and a polymer;
CAMP — alloy coating of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal and polymer.

B. 2 Technical requirements
Wire made of low carbon wire rod of steel grades according to GOST 380.
The tensile strength of the wire gap should be from 35 to 55 kgf/mm(340−540 N/mm) minimum elongation — 12% on basic specimen length of 100 mm.
The zinc coating and alloy coating of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal must be durable and withstand at least five turns when winding, on a cylindrical stem with a diameter, equal to three diameters of wire; solid and uniform, to withstand the number and standards of immersion in a solution of sulphate of copper given in table B. 2.

On the surface of the wire coated with zinc or a zinc alloy with aluminum and mischmetal should not be uncovered seats and black spots.
The minimum mass of zinc and alloy of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal per unit of surface area shall conform to the requirements of GOST R 50575 and table B. 3.

Polymeric coating thickness is 1 mm and the diameter of the wire.
For coating wire with a polymer used polyvinyl chloride plastic (PVC) brand И50−13 according to GOST 5960 or another normative document, a polyethylene grade PE 805−275 [1]; PE ND in other brands, duly approved, without deteriorating the performance of the coating.

Wire shall be manufactured in coils or on reels.
B. 3 Rules of acceptance
Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire of the same diameter, the same kind of coverage shall be furnished a document about quality that contains:
— trademark and (or) the name of the manufacturer;
the results of the tests;
— designation of wire;
the weight of the party.
Upon acceptance of the wire diameter and surface quality check on each reel (reel).
To check the mechanical properties and the quality of the coating by the wire select at least three coils (coils).
For testing each selected one sample from each selected winding (coil).
If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the figures, it is carried out re-tests on twice the number of skeins (coils).
The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
B. 4 control Methods
Inspection of the wire surface is carried out visually without the use of magnifying devices.
Wire diameter is measured in two mutually perpendicular directions one section at a stretch without sagging of the coating measuring instrument with division value of 0.01 mm.
Test wire tensile is carried out according to GOST 10446.
The test of wire on the winding is carried out in accordance with the requirements of B. 2 and GOST 10447. The coating is considered satisfactory if, when winding, it does not crack or break to such an extent that it can be removed without the use of mechanical means (using your fingers).
The continuity and uniformity of zinc coating and alloy plating of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal is controlled by immersion GOST R 50575.
The mass of the zinc or alloy of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal determine the weight or volume-gasometrical method according to GOST R 50575. A mass of alloy of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal deposited per unit surface area (), g/m, determined by the formula
