Notes:
1. By agreement with the consumer bars are made with a unilateral deviation is equal to the sum of limit deviations.
2. For hot-rolled bars with a diameter of 10−13 mm, the maximum deviations for the 1-th group are determined by agreement between manufacturer and consumer.
3. At the request of the customer can be the production of rods of intermediate sizes of the cross section with maximum deviations on the nearest larger size.
4. The cross-sectional area specified in the table set without blunting the edges. When dulling of edges 0.15 the sides of the square cross-sectional area is reduced by 2.25%.
3. The curvature of hot-rolled bars should not exceed 0.4% of length, forged — 0,6% of the length.
4. Out-of-round (difference between largest and smallest diameter in the same cross-section) hot rolled round bars should not exceed 0.5 of total limit deviation for diameter.
Ovality and Combichrist (difference between the diagonals in one cross-section) forged round and square bars shall not exceed 0.7 of total limit deviation for diameter or side of square.
3, 4. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
5. Diameter and ovality of round rods, the side and diagonal of square bars measured at a distance of not less than 100 mm from the end.
The rods should be cut at right angles to the longitudinal axis. Allowable cut end Squareness, mm for hot rolled bars shall not exceed:
0,1 — for bars with diameter up to 30 mm;
5 mm, for bars with diameter over 30 mm.
Bars, cut shears under the hammers may have crumpled ends.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
5A. The bars are made:
— the measured length;
— multiple gauge length.
(Added, Rev. N 1).
6. The rods are made long:
— hot rolled from 0.5 to 3 m;
— forged from 0.5 to 2 m.
At customer’s request bars are made of greater length.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
7. Maximum deviations along the length of the hot-rolled bars and multiple dimensional measuring length shall not exceed plus 30 mm.
Maximum deviations along the length of the wrought iron bars in lengths and dimensional length, must not exceed:
— plus 70 mm for bars with diameter or side of square from 60 to 80 mm;
— plus 100 mm for bars with diameter or side of square over 80 to 150 mm;
— plus 150 mm for bars with diameter or side of square in excess of 150 mm.
8. Square bars are made with blunt edges. Width of the area of the root face should not exceed 0.15 of the square.
9. The apparent twisting of the square rods around the longitudinal axis is not allowed.
10. Marks and technical requirements established by standards for specific products.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
