According to TU 24.11.01.092-84 it is allowed to deoxidize and modify steel with niobium, titanium, calcium, barium, magnesium, rare earth metals or other additives to obtain mechanical properties exceeding the minimum level of their values. It is allowed to alloy boron steel in an amount of 0.002-0.005% by calculation to obtain mechanical properties that exceed the minimum level of their values. The permissible deviations in the chemical composition are in accordance with GOST 977.
