4 INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME
Information about the changes to this standard is published in the annually issued reference index «National standards», and the text changes and amendments — in monthly indexes published information «National standards». Introduction
Established in this standard the terms are arranged in a systematic manner, reflecting the system concepts in the field of precious metals.
For each concept has a single standardized term.
Deprecated the use of synonymous terms is given in parentheses after standardized term and marked by labels «NRK».
Enclosed in parentheses the part of term can be omitted when using the term in documents on standardization. While not part of the parentheses part of the term represents its short form.
The presence of brackets in the terminology section, means that it includes two (four) terms with common terminability. In the index the terms are given separately indicating the number of the article.
Litter, indicating the scope of the multivalued term is given in parentheses light font after a term. Litter is not part of the term.
The definitions can, if necessary, modify, inserting derived characteristics, revealing the meaning of used terms, pointing to objects in the volume defined concepts. Changes must not violate the scope and content of concepts defined in this standard.
The definition of the term, containing all necessary and sufficient conditions of concepts are not given and instead put a dash.
Terms and definitions of technical terms necessary for understanding the text of the standard is given in Annex A.
Standardized terms in bold, their short forms in the alphabetical index — the light and the synonyms in italics.
