6. REPRINT (July 1992) with amendment No. 1, approved in March 1991 (IUS 6−91)
This standard sets used in science, engineering and manufacturing of terms and definitions basic operations of forging and stamping machinery and instrumentation.
Terms set the standard mandatory for use in all types of documentation, scientific, technical, educational and reference literature.
For each concept has a single standardized term. The use of terms — synonyms of the normalized term is prohibited. Unacceptable for use synonymous terms given in the standard as a reference and is marked with the note «NDP».
For certain of the standardized terms in the standard is shown as reference the short form, which can be used when a possibility of various interpretation. Installed definitions can, if necessary, change the form of presentation, preventing trespass of concepts.
In cases where the necessary and sufficient conditions for concepts contained in the literal meaning of the term, a definition is not given and, accordingly, in the column «Definition» put a dash.
The standard is an alphabetical index of the contained terms.
It has Annex 1A, containing the terms and definitions of indicators of efficiency of use of metal, and Annex 1, contains the definitions of some operations derived from the basic.
The standard should be applied in conjunction with GOST 3.1109.
Standardized terms in bold, short form — light, and invalid synonyms in italics.
