ANNEX 1 (mandatory). Defects of shape, sheet, strip and coil
ANNEX 1
Mandatory
Table 6
The term |
Definition |
Drawing |
Defects in the form of sheet and strip
|
A defect in the shape of a bend end of the sheet and strip produced by an accidental impact. |
|
2. Page peel |
Defect of form in the bend area of the sheet formed from impacts on rebar rolling or etching equipment.
3. ACC |
The nonplanarity is in the form of bends of an edge or end face formed by cutting the hot sheets on a shear with inclined knife position.
4. Inversion of the edge |
The defect shape in the form of local crushing of the edge of thin sheets and ribbons produced by passing them through a narrow wiring or oblique to the task of roll in rolls.
5. The uneven end |
The defect of form, characterized by greater length edge portions of the end sheet in comparison with the Central part formed due to uneven metal stretching across the width of the strip during rolling. |
|
6. Fold D. Faltung E. Fold F. Ride, Pli |
The defect is shaped in the form of a collapse of the middle part of the width of the sheet resulting from nonuniform deformation of the strip width. Note. The defect is formed due to the difference in diameter of the rolls between their middle and edges. |
|
7. Combichrist D. Rautigkeit E. Rhomboidity F. Form rhomboidale |
The defect forms, characterized by different sizes of the diagonals of the sheet formed with the task of roll in the rolls on one side without alteration. Note. Combichrist sheet can be obtained at infringement of technology of cutting of the strip.
8. Curling sheet (tape) |
Defect in shape of the sheet (tape), characterized by the rotation of the cross section about the longitudinal axis formed because of the incorrect position of rolls, front or rear wire or the thickness of the strip entering the rolls.
Defects the shape of the coil
9. Roll pleats NDP. Folded steel coil E. Coil with folds F. de Rides dans rouleau |
Defect in shape of coil in which portions of the turns of the strip formed in the folds due to the presence of warpage, camber or not regulated settings are correct and winding.
10. Crumpled roll |
The defect of distortion of the round shape of the roll formed during stacking or transporting bales.
11. Sweet roll |
The defect forms in the form of a loosely wound strip
12.Telescopic coil |
Defect in shape of coil in the form of protrusions furthest from the middle or inner part of the coil formed due to the not regulated setup on the winding machine. |

ANNEX 2 (informative). ADDITIONAL TERMS
ANNEX 2
Reference
For a more complete characterization of the distribution and growth of defects along with the terms set forth in this standard, the following terms are used:
small defects, local and individual defects.
Minor defects — defects, the depth of which generally is in the range of permissible deviations in thickness (diameter), unless otherwise stipulated in the NTD community.
Local and separate locally concentrated defect, located, as a rule, without specific regularity.
