8.8.2. Analysis
A sample of zinc concentrate with a mass of 1,000 g was placed in a glassy carbon crucible and calcined for 1 h at 500 °C, cooled and thoroughly mixed with the mixture for alloying. The crucible was placed in muffle furnace with a temperature of 350 °C, heat the sample for 15 min, then transferred into the crucible muffle furnace, heated to a temperature of 650−670 °C and fused for 10 min, the melt was stirred once. At the same time take equal to the mass of the weighed mixture of the oxides and is carried out through the entire course of the analysis (controlling experience). The resulting analysis of the control solution used in the construction of calibration curve to account for the influence of composition of sample and reagents used in the analysis.
After cooling, the crucible is poured into a 50 cmhot distilled water, close the crucible watch glass and leached the beach at weak boiling. The resulting solution and the precipitate was transferred to a beaker with a capacity of 250 cm. The crucible is washed with hot distilled water so that total volume of the solution with the sediment did not exceed 100 cm. To the solution to precipitate poured 10 cmof hydrochloric acid (1:1) and 3 cmof a solution of iron (II) chloride, heated to a temperature of 80−90°C and check the pH of the solution on the indicator paper. If necessary, add dropwise a solution of hydrochloric acid (1:1) or 20% solution of sodium carbonate to obtain a solution with a pH of 8−9. Close a glass watch glass and heat the solution to precipitate for 30 min, avoiding boiling. Then re-check the pH value of the solution and if necessary adjust it as described above and heated for another 10 min.
After cooling the solution to precipitate transferred to a volumetric flask with a capacity of 200 cm, adjusted to the mark with distilled water and mix. Filter the solution through a filter with a blue ribbon with a small number of filtrowanie mass in a dry plastic jar. The first portion of the filtrate discarded. The remaining filtrate was used for measurements.
The preparation of the ionomer and the electrode to the work carried out in accordance with the manual of ionomer and passports to the electrodes. Fluoride electrode before measurements is kept in solution 5pF for 30 min, and then washed it in distilled water for 10 min, then proceed with the calibration of the electrode according to the operating instructions of the device.
For the calibration of the electrode graduirovannam prepare a series of solutions as follows: four volumetric flasks with a capacity of 50 cmeach placed sequentially at 5 cmstandard solutions B, C, D and e are in each flask poured aliquot part of the control solution, equal aliquote part of the analyzed solution (20 cm), and stirred.
Bring the solution volume up to 30 cm, check the pH on indicator paper and, if necessary, poured dropwise 1 n solution of hydrochloric acid to a pH of 5−7, stirred, poured 5cmof the background solution was adjusted to the mark with distilled water and mix.
The solution is placed in a dry beaker immersed in it, the electrodes and the magnet. The solution was stirred for 2 minutes, turn off the stirrer and after the establishment of the electrode potential enter the value in the memory device according to the instructions.
Similarly prepared to the measurements the solution, with the exception of the introduction aliquote part of the control solution.
Measure the electrode potential and read from the screen of the device, the mass concentration of fluoride in solution.
The electrode between measurements analyzed solutions are washed in distilled water for 2 min and kept on the air.
