6. Limitation of actions taken by Protocol No. 4−93, the Interstate Council for standardization, Metrology and certification (ICS 4−94)
7. REPRINT (February 1998) with Amendments No. 1, 2, 3, approved in October 1984, April 1989, June 1996 (ICS 1−85, 7−89, 9−96)
1. General requirements for methods of analysis zinc with a mass fraction of zinc of 99.99 is 97.5% according to GOST 25086 with additions.
2. (Deleted, Rev. N 3).
3. The selection and preparation of samples for analysis is carried out according to GOST and GOST 24231 3640.
4−10. (Deleted, Rev. N 1).
11. For the results analysis be the arithmetic mean of results of two parallel measurements.
The absolute values of the differences between the results of two parallel measurements (rate of convergence) and the results of the two tests (index of reproducibility) with the confidence coefficient =0.95 does not exceed the values permitted discrepancies listed in the relevant tables of standards.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
12. (Deleted, Rev. N 2).
13. The expression «hot solution (or water)» means that the liquid has a temperature of 75−80 °C, «warm solution (or water)» — the temperature of 35−40 °C, «the cold solution (or water)» — the temperature 13−14 °With, «cool solution» means the solution temperature was lowered to room temperature, the «warm place» — working area with a temperature of 75−80 °C.
14, 15. (Deleted, Rev. N 2).
16. The analysis of zinc used chemicals with harmful effects on the human body: acids (sulfuric, nitric, hydrochloric), ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, hydrazine sulfate and hydrochloric acid, lead, ethyl alcohol, lead acetate, chloroform, copper, carbon tetrachloride, sodium hydroxide, and oxide of arsenic (III), acetone, strontium nitrate, trichloroethylene, antimony, ether Diisopropylamine. In working with these chemicals must comply with the safety requirements of normative-technical documentation for specific products.
Zinc metal is non-toxic and fire and explosion hazard substance. Zinc oxide is a substance of class 2 hazard, has on human toxic effects. MPC zinc oxide in workplace air is 0.5 mg/m.
17. Preparation of samples for analysis must be carried out in fume cupboards or boxes with built-in exhaust air inlet.
Chemical reagents used for analysis must be stored in cabinets or boxes equipped with ventilation. Samples of the zinc entering the analysis are stored in packages of construction paper in a special Cabinet.
16, 17. (Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
18. (Deleted, Rev. N 3).
19. Space laboratories in which to perform the analysis of zinc, must be equipped with a system of supply and exhaust ventilation in accordance with GOST
(Added, Rev. N 1).
20. Fire safety laboratory spaces shall be provided in accordance with the requirements of GOST
When working with flammable organic substances (diisopropylamide and diethyl ethers, ethyl alcohol, etc.) should be guided by the requirements of GOST
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
21. All electrical installations and electrical equipment used in the production of analyses of zinc shall meet the requirements of GOST
Conditions electrical safety in workplaces must comply with GOST 12.1.019, rules of technical operation of electrical installations and safety rules at operation of electrical installations, approved by Gosenergonadzor.
(Added, Rev. N 1).
22. Control of content of harmful substances in the air of working zone — according to GOST
Concentration of harmful substances in the air of working zone is determined by the techniques corresponding to the requirements of GOST
Control of parameters of dangerous and harmful production factors is performed by methods of measurement, standardized or certified in accordance with the requirements of GOST 8.010*.

* On the territory of the Russian Federation GOST R 8.563.
Basic provisions and requirements for the organization and carrying out of works on metrological support in the field of occupational safety — according to GOST
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).
23. Working in the lab should receive special training on occupational safety with the corresponding registration in the prescribed manner in accordance with GOST 12.0.004, advanced training in safe methods of work and rules for the treatment of protective equipment.
(Added, Rev. N 1).
24. The control accuracy of the analysis of samples is carried out according to GOST 25086 by comparing them with the results of the analysis of the same samples obtained by other standard methods, according to the standard samples of composition of zinc, or by a method of additives.
The control accuracy of the analysis carried out at least once a month, and also when replacing the reagents, solutions and equipment, after long interruptions and other changes that affect the results of the analysis.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).
