4.3 Electrodes powder tape and foil
Dimensions and tolerances for cored strip and foil shall comply with the applicable standards.
4.4 Fluxes
The flux needs to be pelletized so that it provided free admission to the welding zone through the feed system. In different packages of the distribution of the particle flux must be uniform and dense. Fluxes can be of various granulometric composition (see ISO 14174). |
5 Requirements for rounding values
In determining compliance with the requirements of this standard for the real value obtained when testing shall be rounded in accordance with the rules laid down in ISO 80000−1 (regulation And application). If the measured values obtained on equipment that is calibrated in units different from the units of this standard, the measured values prior to rounding, should be transferred in units of this standard. If the average value should be compared with the requirements of this standard, the rounding must only be done after the calculation of this average. If the standard test, referenced in this standard contains requirements for rounding, contrary to the requirements of this standard, we must be satisfied to rounding in accordance with the standard for the test. The rounding results shall meet the requirements of the appropriate table for the classification under test. |
6 Requirements for welding consumables
6.1 covered Electrodes
Of the electrode coating should uniformly and concentrically coat the rod throughout its length in order to prevent asymmetric melting during welding. Of the electrode coating should be free of irregularities, cracks and other surface defects that would adversely affect the welding process. The coating must have strong adhesion to the stem and does not flake off with proper transportation and use.
The clamping end of the covered electrode must be free from coating material on the length of at least 15 mm.
Note — the electrode End, designed for the arc, may be coated with a material that facilitates the initiation of arcs.
6.2 Wire and welding rods, electrodes, tape
The surface of welding materials must be free from contaminants and surface defects that can adversely affect the welding. Any surface condition, if it has no negative influence on the welding process and properties of the weld metal.
The components of the powder in all the electrode powder materials should be distributed evenly along the entire length so that they do not have an adverse impact on the welding-technological properties, chemical composition and properties of the deposited weld metal.
Welding wire and electrodes the tape may be supplied in Hanks or coils in accordance with figure 1 and table 4. Should be free of kinks, waves, sharp bends and other defects which would adversely affect uniform their flow. The beginning and the end of the wire is continuously wound that needs to be fixed.

Other sizes should be consistent. |
Welding materials in rolls without frames must be tied up in at least three places evenly spaced around the circumference of the roll.
Solid wire and solid wire electrode for welding steels should have a free run round not more than described below.
Under the progress of the revolution means a vertical rise of any part of one coil wire which lies freely on a flat surface, this flat surface. The course of revolution should not exceed 25 mm in coils with external diameter up to 200 mm (S 200) and 50 mm in coils with external diameter more than 200 mm (see table 4).
