Limitation of actions taken by Protocol No. 4−93 of the Interstate Council for standardization, Metrology and certification (ICS 4−94)
REPRINTING. February 2011
1. This standard establishes the basic types, design elements and dimensions welded joints of steels and iron-Nickel alloys and Nickel-based performed by arc welding in shielding gases.
2. The following notation of welding methods:
IN in an inert gas consumable electrode without filler metal;
Of InP in an inert gas non-consumable electrode with filler metal;
IP — in inert gases and their mixtures with carbon dioxide and oxygen consumable electrode;
Up — in carbon dioxide and its mixtures with oxygen consumable electrode.
3. Main types of welded joints shall be as specified in table.1.
4. Constructive elements of welded joints, their dimensions and limit deviations thereon shall be as specified in table.2−20.

5. For welded joints u7, U5, Y6, Y8, T7, T8, T9, performed welding in carbon dioxide allowed dulling =5±2 mm.
6. Welding parts of unequal thickness in the case of difference in thickness, not exceeding values specified in table.21, should be carried out as parts of the same thickness; the structural elements of prepared edges and weld sizes should choose larger thickness.

If the difference in thickness of the welded parts more than the values specified in table.21 to the parts with greater thickness , should be made a chamfer on one or both sides to a thickness of the thin part at an angle of 15°, as indicated on the devil.1 and 2.

7. Dimensions of completed sutures at the site of overlap for closed connections and also in the places fixed by the jelly may differ from those prescribed by this standard. In this case, they should correspond to normative-technical documentation.
8. At a variable angle coupling parts , the seam is divided into sections. Each area of the coupling elements is performed in accordance with the requirements of this standard.
9. When carbon dioxide welding wire with diameter 0,8−1,4 mm is allowed to apply the basic types of welded joints and their structural elements according to GOST 11534−75.
