Example of designation of the powder coating tape brand PL-NP-350Х25Н3С3 two-way universal:
PL-NP-350Х25Н3С3-A-U GOST 26467−85
The symbol of the brand of powder the tape consists of indices PL (powder strip) and NP (surfacing); following the NP index numbers indicate the average mass fraction of carbon in the deposited metal in hundredths of a percent. The figures following the letter symbols of the chemical elements represent average mass fraction of the element in percent. The lack of numbers means that the average mass fraction of element is not more than 1.5%. The average mass fraction in the deposited metal of silicon up to 0.8% and manganese up to 1.0% of the letters C and G are not listed.
2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. The powder tape shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
2.2. The powder tape consists of a metal shell and powder filler.
2.3. Surface powder tape must be free of corrosion, oil and other organic substances.
2.4. Drawing prints seal rolls needs to be clear for the entire length of the tape. The shape and dimensions of the prints are established by normative-technical documentation for specific products.
Allowed traces of the shaping rollers. Additional prints and other defects of mechanical origin are allowed.
2.5. Powder camber strips shall not exceed 15 mm.
2.6. Powder filler powder should fill tape the entire length with no gaps and leaks. Spontaneous eruption of the filler powder after cutting powder strips in cross section are not allowed.
The difference between the largest and smallest values of the fill factor of the tape by the powder-filling (fill factor — the ratio of the mass of the powder-filler powder to the weight of the tape, expressed as a percentage) should be for the tape of the 1st group of not more than 3.5%, for ribbon 2nd group — no more than 4.0%.
2.7. Relative consumption of flux-cored strips, chemical composition, hardness of weld metal, the number of pores and slag inclusions are established by normative-technical documentation on a particular brand of powder tape.
2.8. Welding-technological properties of flux-cored strips must meet the requirements:
the arc must stably burn when using the kind of current and modes recommended in the normative-technical documentation on a particular brand of powder tape;
the bead should have a smooth shape;
if the regulatory and technical documentation in powder-powder filler strips introduced mineral components, during surfacing of the roller should uniformly be covered with the slag crust, which after cooling is easily separated;
defects on the surface of the deposited weld metal should not exceed the limits permitted by regulatory and technical documentation on a particular brand of powder tape.
2.9. Powder ribbon type And is manufactured in rolls.
Each roll should consist of one segment of the powder ribbon.
Coil weight should be from 45 to 65 kg. permitted coil powder tape weighing not less than 25 kg not more than 5% of the total number of coils from the party.
The inner diameter of the coil 330−390 mm.
Powder feed type B manufactured is wound on the tape according to normative-technical documentation. General view of the magazine presented in the reference 1 application.
The powder tape in the cassette should consist of one segment. For powder tapes, manufactured with a shell of non-ferrous metals allowed winding the three parts powder of the tape in one cassette, but not more than two cassettes at a party.
The mass of powder tape in the cassette should be from 75 to 175 kg. allowed to have magazines with powder tape weighing not less than 25 kg not more than 5% of the party.
3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. Powder ribbon take parties. The party should consist of powder tape of the same brand, same size, and must be made from the original materials of some parties. Party powder tape must be accompanied by one document on quality, which indicate:
trademark or name of the manufacturer and trademark;
batch number;
the number of rolls or cassettes;
the net weight of the powder of the tape in kilograms;
chemical composition of deposited metal;
the hardness of the deposited metal;
group powder tape;
stamp of technical control;
the date of manufacture.
3.2. The mass of the party must be from 200 to 15000 kg.
3.3. To check the quality of the powder feed from the party taken:
to check the surface quality, dimensions and camber powder tape size rolls — 3% rolls or cassettes, but not less than one roll (cassette);
to check the quality of the filling powder ribbon powder filler- 3% rolls or cassettes, but not less than five rolls (cassettes);
to check the welding-technological properties of flux-cored strips, chemical composition and hardness of deposited metal, the relative flow rate of the powder tape, the number of pores and slag inclusions — one roll or the cassette.
3.4. Relative consumption of flux-cored strips is determined by the requirement of the user.
3.5. If unsatisfactory results at least one of the indicators, repeat tests are carried out at twice the number of rolls or cassettes of the powder ribbon. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
4. TEST METHODS
4.1. Surface quality powder ribbon checked visually without the use of magnifying devices.
4.2. The width and thickness of the powder tape test not less than two sections of the roll or cassette tape measuring device having an error not more than 0.05 mm.
4.3. The size of the roll check with the error not more than 5 mm, a measuring instrument corresponding accuracy.
4.4. Camber powder tape test according to GOST 503−81.
4.5. The weight of a roll or cassette tape test powder with an error of less than 0.2 kg.
4.6. To determine the fill factor of the powder strips from each of the selected test coil or cassette cut one sample with a length of 350−450 mm. the Samples are weighed with an accuracy of at least 0.01 g, is opened, carefully cleaned the shell from the filler powder, then weigh the shell and for each sample determine the fill factor in percent the formula
,
where is the mass of sample, g;
the weight of the shell,
4.7. To check the welding-technological properties of flux-cored strips, chemical composition and hardness of deposited metal conducting layers on plates of metal, specified in normative and technical documentation on a particular brand of powder tape.
Self-shielded flux-cored strips (With), not containing powder filler with mineral components, the welding is performed on plate of size not less than 300х250х35 mm in two layers with oscillatory motion of the electrode on the modes specified in normative and technical documentation on a particular brand of powder tape.
Surfacing self-shielded flux-cored strips © containing powder filler mineral components, powder and strips designed for surfacing under flux (f), is performed on a plate having a size of not less than 300х75х25 mm in two layers on the modes specified in normative and technical documentation on a particular brand of powder tape.
4.8. To determine the relative consumption of powder weigh the tape and plate before and after overlaying with the error not more than 1.0 g and determine the mass used for surfacing with flux-cored strips and the mass of the deposited metal. After surfacing before weighing with the weld surface and the plate carefully remove spatter and slag crust.
The ratio of the mass of spent powder strip to weight of deposited metal is a relative flow rate of the powder ribbon.
4.9. To check the presence of pores, inclusions and hardness of the weld metal should be treated by the method of surface grinding to 1,25−0,63 mm according to GOST 2789−73.
4.10. The size of pores and slag inclusions determined visually using a magnifying glass IF-3−10GOST 25706−83 with a scale division of the measuring scale 0,1 mm.
To determine the size of pores and slag inclusions allowed the use of other methods and means of measurement, to ensure the necessary accuracy.
4.11. Hardness of deposited metal is determined by the method of Rockwell (GOST 9013−59) or the method of Brinell (GOST 9012−59) as the arithmetic mean of at least four measurements.
4.12. Samples for chemical analysis were taken by drilling or milling to a depth of not more than 3 mm.
In cases where the weld metal is not amenable to drilling or milling, the sample for chemical analysis taken away by draining (when overlaying the second layer with a sharp tilt of the sample fused metal of the weld pool on a copper plate, then crushing the fused metal produced grains for chemical analysis).
Methods of determination of chemical composition of deposited metal establishes the normative-technical documentation on a particular brand of powder tape.
