1. This standard applies to welded joints of aluminium and aluminium alloys with a thickness of edge welded parts from 0.8 to 60.0 mm, inclusive, and establishes the basic types of welded joints, structural elements and dimensions of cutting edges and weld, done arc welding in inert gases.
The standard does not apply to welded joints of pipelines.
2. In standard, the following symbols methods of arc welding in inert gases:
RIN — manual non-consumable electrode with filler metal;
AÏN — automatic non-consumable electrode with filler metal;
AÏN — automatic non-consumable electrode with filler metal — three phase;
APL — automatic consumable electrode — odnogolosy;
PEEP — semi-consumable electrode.
3. Main types of welded joints shall be as specified in table. 1.
4. Structural elements and their dimensions shall be as specified in table. 2−19.

5. Edges of the welded parts should be handled mechanically, while the roughness of the processed surface should be not more than Rz 40 µm according to GOST 2789−73.
6. Welding joints of parts of unequal thickness if the difference is not exceeding the values specified in table. 20 should be the same as for parts the same thickness. Structural elements of prepared edges and weld sizes should choose larger thickness.

If the difference in thickness of the welded parts more than the values specified in table. 20 for parts with greater thickness 'sto be made a chamfer on one or both sides to a thickness of the thin part s, as indicated on the devil. 1 and 2.

Damn. 2 |
While the structural elements of prepared edges and weld sizes should choose smaller thickness.
7. Connections connection angle 179°-91° bevel details thickness more than 6 mm when welding with non-consumable electrode with filler metal to provide direction to its flow in the weld pool is allowed to chamfer the upper edges of size 1.0−1.5 mm45°.
8. When welding in positions other than the bottom, may increase the dimensions of the joint, but not more than 2 mm — for workpiece thickness up to 25 mm, 3 mm more than 25 mm.
9. When welding in helium at a constant current joint dimensions can be reduced to 15%.
10. For fillet welds the estimated values of the legs To; Itmust be established when designing welded joints.
11. Maximum deviations of the estimated values of the side seams must match:
+2.0 mm when K<5 mm;
+3.0 mm at 5To8 mm;
+At 4.0 mm To>8 mm.
12. Dimensions of completed sutures at the site of overlap for closed connections and also in the places fixed by the jelly may differ from those prescribed by this standard. In this case, they should correspond to normative-technical documentation.
13. When welding technical aluminium may increase the size of the joints to 20%.
14. While duplex weld with full penetration before welding from the reverse side of the root pass must be cleared to bare metal. Clearing abrasive wheels is not allowed.
15. At a variable angle coupling parts , the seam is divided into sections. Each area of the coupling elements is performed in accordance with the requirements of this standard.
