STATE STANDARD OF THE USSR
CONNECTION BRAZED
Main types and parameters
Brazed and soldered joints. Main types and parameters
Date of introduction 1975−01−01
Promulgated by Decree of the State Committee of standards of Ministerial Council of the USSR of December 4, 1973 N 2641
Proven in 1989 by the Decree of Gosstandart of the USSR from
REPRINT (September 1990) with amendment No. 1, approved in February 1981 (ICS 5−81)
1. This standard specifies the basic types of brazed joints, the structural elements of soldered joints, their designations and parameters.
2. The basic types of brazed joints and their designators are listed in table. 1.
3. Parameters of structural elements of the solder joints and their designators are listed in table. 2.

Notes:
1−5. (Deleted, Rev. N 1).
6. The thickness of the seam is determined by Assembly clearance and physico-chemical properties of the soldered material and solder. The magnitude of the Assembly gaps for the most common combinations of «brazed material — solder» in the reference Appendix 1.
7. The amount of overlap is determined by the mechanical properties of the brazed material, solder joint and the requirements of the design.
8. The thickness of the brazed material is set in the design of brazed structures.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
4. Symbols and designations of the solder joints in the drawing — according to GOST 2.313−68.
At the stage of preliminary and technical designs the symbol of the type of solder joints are placed above the shelf line-outs.
5. Rational form fillet — a concave meniscus.
6. The shape and structural elements of joints brazed joints that are combinations of the basic types, must be drawn indicating dimensions. Not allowed to draw shape and structural elements of joints combined solder joints on the electrical drawings.
7. Combined solder joints widely used in the industries given in the informational Appendix 2.
8. (Deleted, Rev. N 1).
9. The legend of the seams brazed joints used in correspondence and documentation, in addition to the working drawings shall consist of:
a) the alphanumeric designation of a brazed joint at the table. 1;
b) cross-section dimensions and length of the seam.
Example of designation of the solder joint type lap-PN-1, with a thickness of 0.05 mm, a width of 10 mm and a seam length of 150 mm:
PN-1 0,05х10х150 GOST 19249−73
Note. Alphanumeric designations of the joints of the combined solder joints consist of alphanumeric symbols basic types, for example:
PN-2 0,01х12х100 PV-1 0,02х5х100 GOST 19249−73
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
