REPLACE GOST 15878−70.
REPRINTING. September 1983
1. This standard specifies the structural elements and sizes of the calculated welded joints of steels, iron-Nickel alloys and Nickel-based, titanium, aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys performed by the contact point, the embossed and seam welded.
The standard does not apply to welded connections made by contact welding without melting of metal.
2. In the standard the following notation methods of resistance welding:
point;
relief;
— suture.
For structural elements of welded joints the following notation:
and |
- | the thickness of the part; |
- | the calculated diameter in the molten core of the point or width of the cast zone of the seam;
and |
- | the amount of penetration; |
and |
- | the depth of the dents; |
- | the distance between the centers of adjacent points in a series.
- | the distance between the axes of adjacent rows of dots in a chain arrangement;
- | the distance between the axes of adjacent rows of dots in a staggered arrangement;
- | length of the cast zone of the seam;
- | the overlap of the weld zones of the cast;
- | the length of the uncovered part of the cast zone of the seam;
- | the size of lap; | |
- | the distance from the center point or axis of the weld edges overlap;
- | the number of rows of dots. |
3. Constructive elements of welded joints, their dimensions should match those in hell. 1, 2, 3 and table 1, 3, 5 for connections of the groups in the table. 2, 4, 6 — compounds of group
Structural elements of welds,

Connection group needs to be set in the design depending on the requirements of weld design and production welding process.
4. The amount of overlap for multi-row joints in the chain, the location of the points ; while a checkerboard arrangement of pixels .
5. Depending on the kind of lap welded joint the amount of overlap should be determined in accordance with the devil. 4.
The types of lap welded joints performed by resistance spot relief and seam welding
Damn. 4
6. The distance from the center point or axis of the weld to the edge of the overlap should be at least half of the minimum amount of overlap.
7. Allowed welding parts of unequal thickness; the dimensions of structural elements should be selected on the part of smaller thickness.
In case the minimum amount of overlap , the distance between the centers of adjacent points in a row and the distance between the axes of the neighboring rows of dots should increase to 1.2−1.3 times.
8. When welding three or more parts the estimated diameter of the core cast point should be set separately for each pair of contacting parts. Allowed through penetration of the middle parts.
9. The amount of penetration needs to be for magnesium alloys from 20 to 70% titanium from 20 to 95% and other metals and alloys from 20 to 80% of the thickness of the parts.
10. When seam welding the overlap zones cast sealed seam must be at least 25% of the length of the cast zone of the weld .
When seam welding of details with thickness less than 0.6 mm permitted a reduction of the overlap seam molded zones to values that guarantee the integrity of the weld.
11. The depth of the dent shall not be more than 20% of the thickness of the part. When welding parts with attitude , in the case of one of the electrodes with a larger flat working surface, as well as when welding in hard to reach areas permitted an increase in the depth of the dent up to 30% of the thickness of the part.
