4 REPLACE GOST 10543−82*
5 REISSUE. December 2005
Introduction
This standard REGLEMENTARE product mix standard and technical requirements steel wire for surfacing.
This standard allows a differentiated approach to the choice of the brand of wire in surfacing specific products, which gives you the opportunity to recover and strengthen parts that are subject to different types of wear.
Appendix A recommendations on the choice of the brand of wire, depending on the hardness of the weld metal and its application.
For a comparative assessment of the wires in the countries of the European Union given their conditional designations according to DIN 8555* (Appendix B).
1 Scope
This standard applies to hot-rolled and cold-drawn wire of carbon, alloy and high-alloy steel, designed for mechanized arc welding.
The standard does not apply to steel wire intended for the production of coated metal electrodes.

3.2 out-of-Roundness of the wire must not exceed the limit deviation for diameter.
3.3 the symbol of the brand of wire consists of index NP (surfacing); following the NP index numbers indicate the average mass fraction of carbon in hundredths of percent. The figures following the letter symbols of the chemical elements represent average mass fraction of the element in percent. The lack of numbers over the letters indicates that their content does not exceed 0.5%. Chemical elements contained in the metal wire, marked: tungsten, G — manganese, M — molybdenum, N — Nickel, s — silicon T — Titan, f — vanadium, X — chrome, B — niobium. The letter a indicates a higher purity of metal wire content of sulfur and phosphorus. After the composition in the designation of the wire indicate the number of this standard.

6.4 Sampling for determining the chemical composition of produced wire is carried out according to GOST 7565.
6.5 If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators it is carried out re-testing at twice the sample. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
6.6 Results of acceptance of the wire issue a quality certificate certifying the compliance wire requirements of this standard.
In the certificate:
— name or trademark of the manufacturer;
