Mg is the basis.
According to GOST 804-93, the mass fraction of any unspecified impurity should be ≤ 0.010%, the sum of the mass fractions of nickel and copper iron should be ≤ 0.005%, the sum of the mass fractions of all impurities should be ≤ 0.10%. As agreed by the manufacturer with the consumer, magnesium Mg95 is made with a mass fraction of manganese not more than 0.004% with a mass fraction of sodium not exceeding 0.010% and the sum of the mass fractions of iron, nickel and copper not more than 0.007%. At the request of the consumer mania Mg95 is manufactured with nickel mass fractions not more than 0.0007% and aluminum not more than 0.006%.
