Preface
1 DEVELOPED by JSC «Russian Institute of light alloys» (JSC «VILS») and FSUE CRISM «PROMETEY"
2 SUBMITTED by the Technical Committee for standardization TC 297 «Materials and semi-finished products from light and special alloys"
3 APPROVED AND put INTO EFFECT by the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology from February 16, 2016 N 38 St
4 INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME
Application rules of this standard are established in GOST R 1.0−2012 (section 8). Information about the changes to this standard is published in the annual (as of January 1 of the current year) reference index «National standards» and the official text changes and amendments — in monthly information index «National standards». In case of revision (replacement) or cancellation of this standard a notification will be published in a future issue of monthly index «National standards». Relevant information, notification and lyrics are also posted in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet (www.gost.ru)
1 Scope
This standard applies to extruded rods of aluminum alloys 1561 (АМг61) and 1980 (В48−4), designed for use in shipbuilding.
2 Normative references
This standard uses the regulatory references to the following international standards:
GOST 9.510−93 unified system of protection from corrosion and ageing. Semi-finished products of aluminium and aluminium alloys. General requirements for temporary anticorrosive protection, packing, transportation and storage
GOST 21488−97 pressed Bars of aluminium and aluminium alloys. Specifications
Note — When using this standard appropriate to test the effect of reference standards in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet or in the annual information index «National standards» published as on January 1 of the current year, and the editions of the monthly information index «National standards» for the current year. If replaced with a reference standard, which was given an undated reference, then it is recommended to use the current version of this standard, taking into account all enabled in this version modifications. If replaced with a reference standard, which is given a dated reference, it is recommended to use the version of this standard referred to above by year of approval (acceptance). If after approval of this standard in the reference standard, which is given a dated reference, a change affecting a provision to which reference, the provision is recommended to be applied without taking into account this change. If the reference standard is cancelled without replacement, the position in which reference is made to it, it is recommended to accept in part not affecting this link.
3 Classification
3.1 the Rods are divided as follows:
— in the form section:
a) round — CU;
b) square — KV;
in) hexagon — CG;
— for precision manufacturing:
a) normal accuracy — no symbol;
b) high accuracy — P;
— as material:
a) without heat treatment (hot-pressed) — no symbol [1561 (АМг61), 1980 (В48−4)];
b) annealed — M [1561М (АМг61М)];
C) hardened and artificially aged — T1 [1980Т1 (В48−4Т1)].
4 Basic parameters and dimensions
4.1 Dimensions of bars and limit deviations for sizes depending on the precision of manufacture — according to GOST 21488 like grade alloy AMg6.
Note — Round bars are manufactured with a diameter of 300 mm.
4.2 grade, the condition of the material, cross-sectional shape, dimensions and manufacturing precision indicated in the purchase order.
In the absence of the ordering instructions on precision rods are made of normal accuracy.

4.3 Theoretical weight of 1 m of the rod is calculated based on nominal sizes when the density of the alloy 1561 (АМг61) equal to 2.65 g/cm, and alloy 1980 (В48−4) equal to 2.76 g/cm(Appendix a, tables A. 1-A. 3).
4.4 Other requirements in terms of assortment — according to GOST 21488.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Bars manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard aluminum alloys 1561 (АМг61) and 1980 (В48−4), with the chemical composition [1]. Bars intended for construction of vessels subject to classification, are manufactured under the technical supervision of the classification society.
5.2 Mechanical properties of bars in tension shall conform to the values given in table 1.
5.3 Heat treatment of bars is carried out according to the modes specified in regulatory documents, duly approved.
5.4 Other technical requirements for bars — according to GOST 21488.
