This standard applies to cold rolled strip of aluminium bronze brand Bra7 used for the manufacture of springs.
1. ASSORTMENT
1.1. The thickness of the tapes and tolerances for thickness shall be as specified in table.1.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Tape shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner, of aluminium bronze brand Bra7 with the chemical composition according to GOST 18175−78.

2.2. Ribbon made of heat-treated, hard and extra hard.
Solid tape thickness from 0.10 to 1.5 mm inclusive.
Extra hard — thickness from 0.10 to 1.2 mm inclusive.
2.3. The surface of the strips should be clean and smooth.
Allowed some minor superficial defects not display the ribbon at reference sweep for tolerances for thickness, and also allowed the local minor darkening, color tint and traces of unburned lubricant.
Allowed to set the surface quality of strips according to the samples approved in the established order.

2.4. The tape should be trimmed evenly. Allowed minor burrs.
Wavy and ragged edge is not allowed.
At the ends of the individual coils are allowed nicks that do not impede the unwinding of the roll and not bringing the ribbon over the limit deviations on width.
Allowed a slight waviness of the edge, disappearing when bending the strips.

2.5. Mechanical properties of strips shall be as specified in table.3.

4. In coordination with the consumer the upper limit of strength for the tapes in the solid state can exceed the norm established in the standard, but not more than 20 MPa (2 kgf/mm) while maintaining the minimum elongation specified in the table.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. Tape take parties. The party should consist of strips of the same size, one precision manufacturing, one state of the material shall be furnished in one document about quality that contains:
trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;
designation strips;
the results of mechanical testing (at the customer’s request);
the weight of the party;
batch number.
The weight of the batch should not exceed 3,000 kg.
3.2. To control the size and appearance of the tapes from the party rolls are selected «blindly» (by the greatest objectivity) according to GOST 18321−73. The control plans in accordance shost 18242−72.

The number of monitored points in each selected coil is determined depending on the length of the tape in the coil in accordance with the table.5.

Selected roll of tape is considered valid if the number of measurement results that do not meet the requirements of table.1, less than the acceptance number specified in table.5.
If unsatisfactory results of measuring at least one of the monitored coils batch is rejected.
Allowed the manufacturer if unsatisfactory result on one of the selected coils to control each coil of the party.
Allowed the manufacturer to carry out thickness control in the production process.

The party is considered usable if the number of coils not satisfying the requirements of table.2, PP.2.3 and 2.4, less than the acceptance number specified in table.6.
Allowed to the manufacturer upon receipt of unsatisfactory results to control every roll of the party.

3.3. To determine the mechanical properties of the selected three rolls from the party.
The yield strength is determined by the requirement of the user.

3.4. To determine the chemical composition selected two rolls from the party.
Allowed the manufacturer to conduct the test on the sample taken from the molten metal of each heat.
3.5. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators (except for size and appearance) it is carried out re-testing at twice the sample taken from the same batch.
The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.

4. TEST METHODS
4.1. Control the appearance and size of the tape is carried out by the statistical technique, while the acceptance level of defects is 4%.

4.1 a. The appearance of ribbons checked by inspection without the use of magnifying devices.

4.2. The thickness of the tape is measured with a micrometer according to GOST 6507−90 lever or micrometer according to GOST 4381−87.
The measurement of the thickness of the tape is carried out at a minimum distance of 100 mm from the end and not less than 10 mm from the edge. For tapes with a width of 20 mm or less, the measurement is performed in the middle.
The thickness of the strip measured at each selected coil to points positioned uniformly randomly along the length of the roll.
The tape length (), in mm, calculated by the formula

where and — respectively the outer and inner diameters of the coil, measured with a ruler according to GOST 427−75, mm;
— tape thickness, mm.
The results of measuring thicknesses that do not meet the requirements specified in table.1, should not differ from the permissible by more than half of the maximum deviations.
Allowed to the manufacturer under the control of thicknesses during the production process to use other means of measurement, to ensure the necessary accuracy.

4.2. The tape width is measured by caliper according to GOST 166−89 or measuring with a metal ruler according to GOST 427−75.
Allowed to control the width of the other measurement tools ensuring required accuracy.

4.3. For the tensile test from each selected roll of strips cut out one pattern along the direction of rolling. Sampling for tests of tensile — according to GOST 24047−80.
Tensile test on strips of thickness less than 0.5 mm is carried out on samples of type 1 with a =12.5 mm and =4according to GOST 11701−84.
Tensile test strips of thickness 0.5 mm and more is carried out according to GOST 11701−84 the samples of a type 1 s =20 mm =11,3.

4.4. To determine the chemical composition of each selected coil cut off one sample. Selection and preparation of samples for determining the chemical composition — GOST 24231−80.
Chemical composition of feeds is determined according to GOST 15027.1−77 — GOST 15027.14−77, GOST 20068.1−79 — GOST 20068.3−79, or other methods providing the required accuracy.
If there is disagreement in the evaluation of the chemical composition of the feeds, the analysis is carried out of the churchyard 15027.1−77 — GOST 15027.14−77.

4.5. Waviness of the edges of the tape check bending it around a mandrel with a diameter of 100−120 mm. If the ripple does not disappear, the roll of tape is rejected.

5. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
5.1. Tape must be rolled into rolls.
Each roll shall be wrapped with metal tape not less than 0,2x10 mm according to GOST 3560−73 or wire with diameter not less than 0.5 mm according to GOST 3282−74 in 2−3 turns.
5.2. On the outer end of each roll shall be attached a label showing:
the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
the legend of strips;
batch number;
stamp of technical control.
5.3. Rolls of ribbons with thickness of 0.10−0.30 mm should be wrapped in paper according to GOST 8273−75или other material that protects the tape from damage, and Packed in boxes of types I, II, or III according to GOST 2991−85.
Rolls of ribbons with thickness 0,35−0,80 mm must be Packed in boxes of types I, II or III 2991−85 the churchyard with the laying of each row of rolls of paper according to GOST 8273−75, or other material that protects the tape from damages.
Coils of strips with thickness of more than 0.80 mm shall be wrapped with non-woven fabric material according to normative-technical documentation or other kinds of packaging materials, with the exception of linen and cotton fabrics.
Weight of cargo must not exceed 80 kg.
It is allowed to transport the ribbon in the containers according to the GOST 20435−75 or according to normative-technical documentation without packaging in boxes with padding of each row of rolls of paper according to GOST 8273−75, or other material that protects the tape from damages.
5.4. In each box or container must be attached to packing list with indication of the data is given in section 5.2, and the weight of the party.
5.5. Packaging of products sent to the far North and remote areas, according to GOST 15846−79, the group «Metals and metal products."
5.6. Consolidation packages in overpacks carried out according to GOST 24597−81. Framing is carried out on pallets according to GOST 9557−87 or without pallets with the use of wooden bars with dimensions not less than 50x50 mm.
The weight of packages should not exceed 1250 kg.
Transport packages must be wrapped in longitudinal and transverse directions with wire of diameter not less than 2 mm according to GOST 3282−74 with a twist of not less than five coils or tape not less than 0,3х30 mm according to GOST 3560−73, the bonding ends of the castle.
5.7. Transport marking — according to GOST 14192−77.
5.8. Tape transporterowych by all kinds of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with cargo carriage regulations applicable to transport of this type of train is small, light-duty or carload shipments.
5.9. Tape should be stored in closed rooms in conditions excluding mechanical damage, contamination, moisture and active chemical substances. Under specified storage conditions consumer properties of tapes in storage are not changed.
