Cool at room temperature. Allowed banks before testing, purging with nitrogen.
Prepare the foil pattern of size 900 cm(30x30 cm).
Cut the sample into strips of size 1,5h30 see When testing colored foil, foil with printing or lacquer should crush the sample so that the unpainted side was on the inside, since the most likely source of smell in this case are solvents, paints, and not foil.
Place the samples in deodorized dishes.
Tightly stoppered wide-mouthed glass vessels with aluminum foil and fix the foil with a wire or a rubber ring.
Stand the cans in a drying Cabinet for 10 min at a temperature of 120 °C — for smooth foil and at 50 °C for painted, lacquered foil and foil printing.
Cool at room temperature for 10 min.
Pierce aluminum foil with a wooden stick and breathe the air in the Bank immediately after unsealing.
Inhalation should be carried out in three steps:
— fast, easy breath;
— long breath;
— a very deep breath.
Highly volatile odors is determined by the first quick breath.
G. 4 test Results
Odors define as normal and abnormal.
I think normal odor, the smell of clean appropriate material:
the annealed foil is odorless and rolling oils;
foil painted, with printing or lacquer coating is typical for this type of product odor.
In the case where the smell is assessed as abnormal, give a brief description of the sources of this odor.
The rating scale odor score:
0 — no smell;
1 — the presence of a slight smell that is different from abnormal smell;
2 — mild abnormal smell;
3 — sustainable abnormal smell or odor of solvents;
4 — strong abnormal odor or smell solvents.
Valid believe the points 0, 1 and 2.

Class a: 100% distilled water — 0% ethyl alcohol.
Class: 90% distilled water 10% ethyl alcohol.
The class: 80% distilled water 20% ethanol.
Class D: 70% distilled water and 30% ethanol.
Class E: 60% distilled water 40% ethanol
etc.
D. 2 testing
2.1 General test conditions
The test is carried out at ambient temperature.
Before the test, cut off from the coil upper turns of the foil to a depth of at least 3 mm.
If the foil has a matte and shiny surfaces, the test is performed on a matte side of the foil. Test for wettability is carried out on the newly exposed surface of the foil. To re-open a new test surface. Do not carry out the re-test already on the surface of the tested sample. During the test, you must take precautions to avoid getting any liquid inside of the roll.
2.2 the Test by applying the liquid jet
Using a bottle spray is applied on the controlled surface of the foil inclined at an angle of 40° — 60°, the jet of distilled water or solutions of ethyl alcohol across the entire width of the roll. The surface of the foil along the entire width of the roll should be fully wetted with distilled water or aqueous ethanol.
2.3 Test by applying drops of fluid
With a dropper applied drops of distilled water or solutions of ethyl alcohol by weight from 40 to 80 mg on a horizontal surface of the foil across the width of the coil at a distance of 5 to 10 cm from each other. Tilt the surface of the foil at an angle of 40° — 60°.
The rate of wetting is determined by the shape of a trace of motion of a droplet left on the surface of the foil (figure D. 1).
Figure D. 1. The definition of the measure of wettability
Figure D. 1
D. 3 test Results
The wettability of the surface of the foil corresponds to the class of wettability in which distilled water or solutions of ethyl alcohol not compressed (figure D. 1, satisfactory wettability).
If there is a dispute in determining the wettability of the foil, use the solutions of ethanol in distilled water, prepared in increments of 5%.
These solutions are used in cases when you need a more accurate assessment of wettability.
ANNEX E (mandatory). A method of determining raskatyvaete foil
ANNEX E
(required)
This method establishes a test procedure for the determination of raskatyvaete foil.
The purpose of the test is to determine the extent of raskatyvaete fully annealed aluminum foil.
Ease of raskatyvaete is determined by the degree of slidenote between turns.
This test is used for aluminum foil with thickness from 0.006 to 0,050 mm.
E. 1 General test conditions
The test is carried out at ambient temperature.
Prior to testing a cut off the top coils with a controlled roll of at least 3 mm.
Hang controlled roll high enough to foil can be easily unwound by hand.
E. 2 testing
The test hung a roll of aluminum foil. Line raskatyvaete must lie in the same horizontal plane as the axis of the roll. Cut end of the foil must be located in a position corresponding to 12 hours on a clock face. Wind back the foil to a position corresponding to 3 or 9 hours on the dial (depending on which way spend the unwinding of the film roll) and let go of a foil. If the foil is spontaneously unwound to a position corresponding to 6 h, the coil is characterized by the degree of raskatyvaete A.
If the foil is spontaneously unwound, unwound free end of the foil one more complete revolution to a position corresponding to 3 or 9 hours on the clock face and release the foil. If in this case the foil is spontaneously unwound to a position corresponding to 6 h, the coil is characterized by the degree of raskatyvaete V.
In that case, if the foil is spontaneously unwound, unwound the free end of one coil and repeat the above procedure for matching the degree of raskatyvaete C. Acceptable degree of raskatyvaete think of degree A, b, C.
APPENDIX g (mandatory). Method of determining adhesion of paint coating to the surface of the foil
APP W
(required)
This method establishes the procedure for the qualitative evaluation of the breakout force of the printed image or varnish from the surface of the foil.
J. 1 Materials
Adhesive tape with peeling force of not less than 90 g/cm width.
J. 2 testing
The foil pattern selected for testing, placed on a smooth hard surface. The tape is applied to the foil pattern across the width of the coil in the direction perpendicular to the direction of machining in the manufacture of seals, leaving a free portion of the tape to grip.
Smooth the tape tight with the click of your fingers. Quickly pull (not jerking) over the free end of the tape with constant speed at an angle of 135°, but not to cause rupture of the foil or breakage of the tape. Visually inspect the tape.
The adhesion of the printing ink or varnish is estimated as follows:
And — not removed the varnish or paint;
In — on the sticky tape remains only a faint haze of glare, while not remained naked portions of the foil;
— Removes up to 10% of all paint or coatings, producing individual sections of clean foil;
D — deletes more than 10% of all paint or coatings exposing the clean foil.
AND APPLICATION (required). Rules for storage aluminum foil
THE APPLICATION AND
(required)
Aluminum foil is prone to corrosion and mechanical damage. Corrosion in the majority of cases occur under the influence of moisture, extreme temperatures and humidity and from exposure to different chemical compounds.
When careless handling of the rolls are easily clogged and the ends of the envelope surface are formed dents and nicks, preventing further free unwinding of the foil when using it. With the aim of preserving the consumer properties of aluminium foil required strict implementation of following rules.
I. 1 it is Prohibited to unload rolls of aluminum foil on the ground. In wet weather and winter time unloading the foil should be held in a special vestibule or under a canopy on a clean and dry loading dock in conditions that completely eliminates the ingress of moisture to the rolls of foil.
I. 2 it is Strictly forbidden to throw or turn over boxes with the finished products.
I. 3 In exceptional cases, when the forced delay boxes with foil in the open area should be covered with tarpaulin boxes to protect them from rain. The time of the forced storage at the open area should not exceed 5 days. Long-term storage of aluminum foil on the open areas is strictly prohibited.
I. 4 In the cold season, to avoid condensation of moisture on the surface of the rolls of foil (condensation or), may not be in a warm room and unpack the boxes with foil. Warehouse space for storage aluminum foil should be equipped with a special support facilities air temperature above the outdoor temperature, but below the temperature of the warehouse. Daily changes in temperature in the warehouse should not exceed 5 °C.
I. 5 avoid formation of coiled coils inside the condensate are not allowed to carry the rolls of foil in space temperature above 15 °C ambient temperature.
I. 6 Aluminum foil should be kept in unpacked form, in the auxiliary room to achieve the temperature of the space, then the products sent to the warehouse where kept for at least a day before unpacking.
I. 7 storage room for long-term storage, the aluminum foil must be heated, ventilated and kept clean. In the warehouse should be maintained minimum possible relative humidity, but not more than 80% and temperature not below + 5 °C.
I. 8 In the warehouse should be no access of moisture, the condensation of steam and various gases that contribute to the development of corrosion of aluminium (chlorine, smoke, ammonia, etc.).
I. 9 is Strictly forbidden storage along with aluminum foil any chemicals, actively acting on the aluminum, and materials with high humidity.
I. 10 When working with aluminum foil, you should use cotton gloves.
I. 11 to Keep the aluminum foil on the floor of the warehouse is strictly prohibited. The foil must be stored uncompressed on clean racks, upholstered in a soft material, or on racks suspended away from the heating and plumbing systems, open doors.
Shelving and rack storage foil must be made of metal or wood with a moisture content not exceeding 18%.
I. 12 Rolls of foil with a thickness of from 0.020 to 0.200 mm and width up to 200 mm is placed on the ends and put cushioning material according to GOST 7376.
The rolls of foil with a thickness of from 0.020 to 0.200 mm and width more than 200 mm is placed horizontally, separating the rows of cushioning material according to GOST 7376.
The rolls of foil with thickness less than 0.020 mm is stored only in limbo.
Allowed other cushioning materials that help to maintain the quality of foil.
I. 13 Laying on racks wet aluminum foil rolls are strictly prohibited. In case of condensation or coils should be wiped dry, especially paying attention to the ends, clean, soft material and then put on the shelves.
I. 14 Stored in the warehouse of aluminum foil shall be subjected to periodic inspection. To keep fit the aluminum foil with corrosion metal is not allowed. Corrosion foil should be immediately withdrawn.
I. 15 subject to the above storage conditions the manufacturer guarantees the preservation of all consumer properties of soft (annealed) foil for 6 months and hard (cold-rolled) for 12 months from the date of issue of the document about quality (3.1 of this standard).
