This standard applies to extruded profiles of aluminium and aluminium alloys, designed for the needs of national economy and for export.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2, 3).
1. CLASSIFICATION
1.1. The profiles are divided as follows:
type:
a solid cross-sectional area of 200 cmand a diameter of circumcircle up to 350mm;
hollow cross-sectional area up to 60 cmand a diameter of the circumscribed circle of up to 250 mm;
by state of material:
without heat treatment (hot-pressed) — marked brand name of the aluminum or aluminum alloy without additional signs;
annealed — M;
hardened and naturally aged — T;
hardened and artificially aged — T1;
fully hardened and artificially aged T5;
mind strength:
normal strength — marked brand of alloy and condition of the material without additional signs;
high tensile strength PP.
Profiles in hardened and naturally or artificially aged condition of the alloy brands AB, D1, D16, AK4, AK6, 1915, 1925 is made with the maximum thickness of the shelves and walls not exceeding 150 mm, of alloy grade V95 — not more than 125 mm from alloys brands AD31, AD33, AD35, 1925С, 1935, VD1, AVD1, AKM is not more than 100 mm.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 2).
5.4.1. For testing of mechanical properties by the method of destructive testing of each check the profile of the output end in the longitudinal direction, cut one sample.
The estimated length of the sample when the thickness of the shelves profile 10 mm and less set according to the formula , and when the flange width is more than 10 mm according to the formula .
In case of impossibility of producing a standard sample testing carried out on the samples, the shape and size of which establishes the manufacturer. This is determined only temporary resistance.
When that manufacturing of the sample profiles supply without testing of mechanical properties.
5.4.2. Verification of the mechanical properties of eddy current conducting surface profiles after quenching and aging.
5.5. Macrostructure of the transverse profiles on test microtemplate carved with utrennego the end of the check profile.
The weld quality in hollow profiles checked for cross microtemplate cut from the output end of the check profile.
In the presence of utiny on the scanned profiles (subject to compliance with the macrostructure of the other requirements) it should be completely removed, while other sections of the party are cut by an amount equal to the length of the cut end from the check profile.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
5.5.1. Validation of the macrostructure of thin-walled sections (flange thickness up to 5 mm) may be performed by the method of fracture.
5.6. The microstructure profiles checked by metallographic method on a single sample or method of eddy currents according to the method of the manufacturer.
In the presence of burnout re-control of the microstructure is not allowed.
5.7. The presence of nitrate test applying to the surface profile in either place drops of 0.5% solution of diphenylamine in sulfuric acid (to the sample 0.5 g of diphenylamine poured 10 cmof distilled water and 25 cmof sulphuric acid of density 1.84 g/cm).
Upon dissolution of diphenylamine solution volume is adjusted to 100 cmby the addition of sulfuric acid density 1.84 g/cm. Intense blue drops of solution with 10−15 points to the presence in a given location nitrate. After the test drop is removed with filter paper and the tested area is washed thoroughly with water and wipe off.
Upon detection of nitrate party profiles must be re-washing and re-control the presence of nitrate in the surface profiles.
