Tapes and bands are not allowed stratification. On the surface of the ribbon and strip defects may be allowed: injections, scratches and fingerprints from the rolls, if they control the sweep display no tape for the limit deviation on thickness.
On the surface of the ribbons and strips are allowed a tint of color and local darkening.
On the surface of the strips in a semi-solid state is not allowed the presence of oil.
Allowed to set the requirements to the surface quality of the samples approved in the established order.
5.4 Tape should be trimmed evenly and must not have significant burrs. Wavy, wrinkled and torn edges are not allowed. Only small undulations, disappearing with a control curve.

In the production of enlarged coils by welding is permitted the manufacturer to determine the mechanical properties and extrusion depth to take three rolls of tape or three strips from each complete and incomplete 2000 kg batch.
6.5 If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators (except for appearance and size) it is carried out a re-test of the doubled sample taken from the same batch. The results of repeated testing are spreading to the entire party.
7 Methods of inspection and testing
7.1 Inspection the surface of the belts and bands is carried out without the use of magnifying devices.
7.2 For determining the chemical composition of each selected roll of tape or selected strips taken one sample. Selection and preparation of samples for the determination of chemical composition is carried out according to GOST 24231.
Determination of the chemical composition — GOST 1652.1-GOST 1652.13.
Allowed to carry out chemical analysis by other methods of equal precision specified.
If there is disagreement in the assessment of the chemical composition analysis is carried out according to GOST 1652.1-GOST 1652.13.
7.3 the thickness of the ribbon and strip are measured at a minimum distance of 100 mm from the end of the tape or strip and at least 10 mm from the edge.
Measuring tape or strip is carried out at three sites: at both ends and in the middle of three measurements in each plot at a distance of 0.5 m from one another.
Measuring the thickness of the tape or strip is carried out with a micrometer type ML-10 under GOST 6507.
7.4 the Width and length of strips and bands are measured by Vernier caliper according to GOST 166, measuring with a metal ruler according to GOST 427 or metal measuring tape according to GOST 7502.
