1 Scope


This standard applies to cold rolled strip of gold, silver and alloys based on them for technical purposes and for jewellery.

3 Terms and definitions


This standard applies the following terms with respective definitions:

3.1 dent: Local deepening of various sizes and shapes with sloping edges.

3.2 pinholes: a Defect of the surface in the form of a single blind or group of point indentations.

3.3 the captivity: the Defect of the surface in the form of delamination, often azkabanu shape, elongated in the warp direction and United with the base metal on one side.

3.4 stratification: The discontinuity of metal, oriented along the direction of deformation.

3.5 crack: a Defect of a surface, representing a rupture of the metal.

3.6 scratch: the surface defects in the form of indentations of irregular shape and an arbitrary direction.

5 Technical requirements

5.1 Main parameters and characteristics (properties)

5.1.1 Strips of gold, silver, and alloys on their basis (hereinafter — band) must conform to the requirements of this standard and be manufactured according to the technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

5.1.2 thickness of the strips and limit deviations for thickness shall conform to the values specified in Table 1.

Allowed in the party random width and length of strips: not more than 10% of the batch weight.

5.1.4 Theoretical mass of a 1 cmГОСТ 7221-2014 Полосы из золота, серебра и сплавов на их основе. Технические условияstrips of gold, silver and alloys based on them are given in Appendix A.

5.1.5 Chemical composition of the bands for technical purposes must comply with GOST 6835, 6836 GOST, for jewelry production — GOST 30649.

Note — By agreement with consumer it is allowed manufacture of strips of the other alloys based on gold and silver.

5.1.6 Strip manufactured in soft (annealed) and hard (unannealed) condition.

The state of the metal should be specified in the order. If the order specifies the delivery status, the strip is manufactured in hard (unannealed) condition.

5.1.7 the surface of the strips should not be captured, cracks, delamination.

Allowed color of a tint, local darkening lanes, and surface damage (dents, scratches, nakoly, traces of Stripping), not deducing the strip at reference sweep for tolerances for thickness.

5.1.8 Strips should be trimmed evenly and must not have ragged edges.

5.1.9 Physical-mechanical properties of strips are given in Appendix B.

5.1.10 Properties of jewellery alloys based on gold and silver is given in GOST 30649.

5.2 Labeling, packaging

5.2.1 At the corner of each strip is marked, containing:

mark metal, alloy;

— the batch number.

— trademark of the manufacturer.

The marking of strips with thickness of less than 0.32 mm is not possible.

5.2.2 stack of strips, wrapped in paper according to GOST 8273, must be Packed in solid wooden boxes or padded plywood strips and Packed in cloth bags.

The free space in the box filled with soft packing material to protect the strips from mechanical damage.

Can be applied to other types of packaging and materials to ensure the safety lanes during transportation and storage.

5.2.3 Boxes (bags) sealed, or seal the wax seals of the manufacturer. The seal (stamp) needs to have a clear impression.

In each case attached to the bag tag point:

— the name of the consumer;

— the name of the manufacturer;

— the cost of the package;

— number of parcels;

— the net mass, g;

— gross mass, g;

— the number of the registry.

Labeling boxes according to GOST 14192 with the indication of manipulation sign «Fragile. Caution."

5.2.4 gross Mass of the packing space should not exceed 10 kg.

5.2.5 Each party bands accompany a document about quality that contains:

is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;

— the symbol of the band;

— the batch number;

— chemical composition;

— the number of bands in the party.;

— a lot of bands in the party, g;

— the month and year of manufacture;

stamp of technical control.

The document about quality packaging Packed in last place, which is a corresponding note.

6 acceptance Rules

6.1 Strip take parties. The party should consist of strips of the same brand of metal or alloy, same size, same delivery status. The weight of the batch is not limited.

6.2 Checking the surface quality and dimensions in compliance with the requirements of 5.1.2, 5.1.3, 5.1.6, 5.1.7 should be subjected to not less than 25% of the bands of the party, but not less than three bands.

6.3 To check the chemical composition for compliance with 5.1.4 user selects one strip from the party, manufacturer — a sample from each heat.

6.4 Upon receipt of unsatisfactory results according to the chemical composition it is carried out re-testing at twice the sample or the sample taken from the same batch. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.

6.5 the marking is subjected to each lane, checking the packaging and the gross mass of each package unit.

7 control Methods

7.1 the thickness of the strips is measured at a distance of not less than 25 mm from the vertex of the angle and not less than 15 mm from the edge of the micrometer according to GOST 6507. The width and length of strips to measure metal ruler according to GOST 427.

Allowed the use of other measuring instruments providing the required accuracy.

7.2 Checking the quality of the surface bands in compliance with the requirements of 5.1.6 and 5.1.7 is carried out by visual inspection without the use of magnifying devices.

7.3 the weight of the strips is determined on laboratory weights according to GOST 24104, the gross weight on the scales according to GOST 29329.

7.4 Chemical composition determines:

gold — according to GOST 27973.0, GOST 27973.1, 27973.2 GOST, GOST 27973.3;

silver — 28353.0 GOST, GOST 28353.1, 28353.2 GOST, GOST 28353.3;

alloys based on gold — GOST 12562.1, 12562.2 GOST, GOST 12563.1, 12563.2 GOST, GOST 12564.1, 12564.2 GOST, GOST 17234, 17235 GOST, GOST 22864;

alloys based on silver — GOST 12555.1, 12555.2 GOST, GOST 12558.1, 12558.2 GOST, GOST 12561.1, 12561.2 GOST, GOST 16321.1, 16321.2 GOST, GOST 22864 or by other methods, certified in the prescribed manner and providing the requirements of this standard.

7.5 Marking and packaging checks visual inspection.

8 Transportation and storage

8.1 Transport, storage and accounting of strips is carried out in accordance with the order of storage, transportation and accounting of precious metals.

8.2 transport and storage of strips should be protected from dirt, mechanical damage, moisture, corrosive environments, fume sulfur compounds.

Storage conditions in climatic factors 1.1 in accordance with GOST 15150, conditions for transportation — 3 according to GOST 15150.

9 manufacturer’s Warranty

9.1 the Manufacturer guarantees the conformity of the chemical composition and size of the bands of gold, silver, and alloys on their basis the requirements of this standard, under the conditions of transportation and storage prescribed by this standard.

Warranty period bands of 10 years from the date of manufacture. The date of manufacture should be the date of issue of the certificate about quality.
