1 Scope
This standard applies to cold-drawn wire of platinum and alloys on its basis are used in instrumentation and other industries.

3 Terms and definitions
This standard applies the following terms with respective definitions:
3.1 wire: Solid long product of uniform cross section throughout its length.
3.2 captivity: defect of a surface, representing a delamination of the metal azkabanu forms, United with the base metal on one side.
3.3 shell: the deepening on the surface of the product from the chipping of foreign objects or opening of the gas bubble.
3.4 stratification: the discontinuity of metal, oriented along the direction of deformation.
3.5 crack: a Defect of a surface, representing a rupture of the metal.
3.6 skein: a length of wire, wound into a series of continuous turns.
4 symbols and abbreviations
In the standard the following abbreviations are used to indicate accuracy of production:
N — normal, P — increased; to indicate the condition of delivery: M — soft, T — hard.

5 Technical requirements
5.1 Main parameters and characteristics (properties)
5.1.1 Wire made of platinum and alloys on its basis (hereinafter wire) shall conform to the requirements of this standard and be manufactured according to the technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
5.1.2 the diameter of the wire and limit deviation should conform to the values specified in table 1.

Notes 1 Wire from the alloys of PLI 75−25, 80−20 Plrd, 97,5 PLM, PLN 95,5, 92−8 Plru, Plru 90−10 is made with a diameter of 0.04 mm or more; from the alloys of 70−30 PLI, Plrd 70−30, 60−40 Plrd — with a diameter of 0.10 mm or more. 2 At the request of the consumer, the alloy wire PLM 91,5 manufactured with special treatment (stabilization). 3 by agreement with consumer it is permitted to produce wire of other diameters and/or other extreme deviations. |
5.1.3 out-of-Roundness of the wire must not exceed half of the maximum deviations in diameter.
5.1.4 Estimated weight of 1 m of wire of platinum and alloys on its basis are given in Appendix A.
5.1.5 the Wire should be made of platinum and alloys on its basis with the chemical composition according to GOST 13498, GOST 30649.
Note — By agreement with consumer it is allowed manufacture of wire of platinum and alloys on its basis other brands.
5.1.6 Wire produced:
diameter of less than 0.10 mm — hard (unannealed);
with a diameter of 0.10 mm or more — soft (annealed) and hard (unannealed).
5.1.7 the surface of the wire should not be captured, cracks, cavities and delaminations.
Allowed color of a tint, local darkening of the wire, as well as surface damage, do not strip wire at reference sweep for tolerances for diameter.
5.1.8 Wire diameter of 0.3 mm or less is wound on a metal or plastic coil with a diameter of 20 mm, a wire diameter of 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm inclusive, the coil or coils, the wire diameter more than 0.5 mm — in coils only. Internal diameter of coil shall be not less than 60 mm.
Wire with a diameter of 4 mm and allowed to produce segments with a length from 200 to 1000 mm.
5.1.9 the Wire should be wound on a reel or folded into skeins rows, providing free spooling, with no sharp kinks. The distance between the upper row of the wire and the edge of the cheeks of the coil should be at least 3 mm.
5.1.10 Each coil (a coil) should consist of one piece of wire with no splices, knots. The ends of the wire on the coil (reel) must be firmly attached.
Each coil of wire with a diameter of 2 mm needs to be fixed ends of the wire of this coil.
5.1.11 the Ground wire on the coil (on the roll) shall be those specified in table 2.

5.1.12 Electrical resistance and physical properties of the wire made of platinum and alloys on its basis are given in appendices B and C.
5.1.13 Properties of jewellery alloys based on platinum are given in GOST 30649.
5.2 Labeling, packaging
5.2.1 On the sides of each coil should be marked with a number and the mass of the coil (in hundredths of a gram).
5.2.2 To each coil (coils) of wire attached tag which must be specified:
— trademark of the manufacturer;
— designation of wire;
— the batch number.
5.2.3 wire Spool, Packed into plastic or cardboard boxes, and rolls of barbed wire, wrapped in paper according to GOST 8273, must be Packed in wooden boxes.
The free space in the box filled with soft packing material to protect the wire from mechanical damage.
Can be applied to other types of packaging and materials, ensuring the safety of wire during the transportation and storage.
5.2.4 the Boxes are sealed, or seal the wax seals. The seal (stamp) needs to have a clear impression of the manufacturer.
Transport marking under GOST 14192.
5.2.5 gross weight of the box should be no more than 10 kg.
5.2.6 Each batch of wire is accompanied by certificates of quality, comprising:
is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— designation of wire;
— the batch number;
— chemical composition;
the number of coils (coils) in the party.;
— a lot of wire in the party, g;
— the month and year of manufacture;
stamp of technical control.
The certificate of quality is Packed in the last box, on which is marked: «Driving here."
6 acceptance Rules
6.1 Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire of one brand of metal (alloy), same diameter, one state and one precision manufacturing. The weight of the batch is not limited.
6.2 Checking of surface condition, measure the diameter and mass of the wire is subjected to each coil (a coil), verification of the gross mass of each box.
6.3 To determine the chemical composition, the consumer selects one coil (a coil) of the party, manufacturer — a sample from each heat.
6.4 Upon receipt of unsatisfactory results according to the chemical composition it is carried out re-testing at twice the sample taken from the coils (skeins) of the same party. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
6.5 quality Control the labeling and packaging is subjected to each coil (a coil), box.
7 control Methods
7.1 wire Diameter is measured in two locations at a minimum distance of 100 mm from each other in two mutually perpendicular directions in each measured cross-section lever-type micrometer according to GOST 4381 spring or measuring head according to GOST 28798 with the rack according to GOST 10197.
Allowed the use of other measuring instruments providing the required accuracy.
7.2 the surface of the wire and winding quality check by visual inspection without the use of magnifying devices. The surface of the wire 0.1 mm in diameter and at least check with an increase of 7.
7.3 Chemical composition determines:
— platinum according to GOST 12226;
— alloys based on platinum — 3193 GOST, GOST 12551.1, 12551.2 GOST, GOST 12552.1,12552.2 GOST, GOST 12553.1, 12553.2 GOST, GOST 12554.1, 12554.2 GOST, GOST 12556.1,12556.2 GOST, GOST 12559.1, 12559.2 GOST, GOST 22864 or other methods, certified in the prescribed manner and providing the requirements of this standard.
7.4 the Mass of the wire is determined on laboratory weights according to GOST 24104. The gross weight of the boxes define the scales according to GOST 29329.
7.5 Marking and packaging checks visual inspection.
8 Transportation and storage
8.1 During transportation and storage of wire shall be protected from mechanical impacts, moisture and aggressive media.
Storage conditions — 1 (L) according GOST 15150.
8.2 Transport, storage and recording of wire is carried out in accordance with the rules of storage, transportation and accounting of precious metals.
9 manufacturer’s Warranty
9.1 the Manufacturer guarantees the conformity of the wire of platinum and alloys on its basis the requirements of this standard, under the conditions of transportation and storage prescribed by this standard.
A storage warranty period — 20 years from the date of manufacture. The date of manufacture should be the date of issue of the certificate about quality.
