3 Terms and definitions

This standard applies the following terms with respective definitions:

3.1 the seamless round tube: a Hollow product of round in cross section, having a uniform nominal wall thickness, which at all stages of production has a continuous circumference.

3.2 round welded tube: a Hollow product of round in cross section, having a uniform nominal wall thickness, are manufactured by longitudinally welding the rolled workpiece.

3.3 average diameter: arithmetic mean of maximal and minimal values of the diameters measured at one cross section perpendicular to the tube axis.

3.4 out-of-roundness (deviation from circular shape): Difference between the largest and smallest values of the diameters measured at one cross section perpendicular to the tube axis.

3.5 nominal wall thickness: wall Thickness specified in the order.

3.6 raznoshennoy (thickness variation, the deviation from concentricity): the difference between the largest and smallest values of wall thickness measured in single cross-section perpendicular to the tube axis.

3.7 the Bay Segment of the product wound into a series of continuous turns.

3.7.1 Bay freespool: the Bay in which the disordered coils held close to each other.

3.7.2 Bay layered orderly winding: the Bay in which the coils are wound in layers parallel to the axis of the Bay in such a way that the successive turns in each layer come one after the other.

3.7.3 Bay flat spiral winding: the Bay in which the product is wound spirally in the disc-shaped layer. Depending on the length of the pipe, this Bay may have multiple layers.

3.8 measuring length: Specific length of the product with the established length tolerance given in order for straight line segments or bays.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

3.9 times the length: the Period of integral multiple of the number of core length with an allowance for cutting and a tolerance on the overall length.

3.10 random length: the length of the product within the specified range or not less than the specified value.

(Added, Rev. N 1).

4 Assortment

4.1 Geometrical dimensions of the pipes are determined by the outer diameter, wall thickness and length.

4.2 By agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer of the pipe can be specified inside diameter. In this case, the permissible deviations at the inner diameter needs to be agreed with the manufacturer.

4.3 Diameter cold-drawn pipes and tolerances for diameter shall be as specified in table 1.
