5 INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME
6 REISSUE. December 2016
Information about the changes to this standard is published in the annual reference index «National standards», and the text changes and amendments — in monthly information index «National standards». In case of revision (replacement) or cancellation of this standard a notification will be published in the monthly information index «National standards». Relevant information, notification and lyrics are also posted in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet (www.gost.ru)
1 Scope
This standard applies to fittings — adapters from copper and copper alloys, designed to connect copper pipes, and establishes requirements for fittings — adapters with different ends for soldering or pressing on one side and threaded on the other to be used in hot and cold water, water (steam) heating, including floor and ceiling heating, cooling, sewage, sewage treatment plants and gas supply, and is also applicable to pipes for pre-insulation of pipes for any of the specified applications.
Fittings can be used for transporting other environments or in other areas of the application, the approval of special requirements for the use, supply and storage between the manufacturer and the customer.
The standard specifies the screw connections of the ends of the fitting types and thread sizes.
2 Normative references
This standard uses the regulatory references to the following standards:
GOST 2533−88 Gauges for pipe cylindrical thread. Tolerances
GOST 6211−81 Basic norms of interchangeability. Thread taper pipe
GOST 6357−81 Basic norms of interchangeability. Pipe thread cylindrical
GOST 7157−79 Gauges for taper pipe threads. Types. Basic dimensions and tolerances
GOST 24939−81 Gauges for cylindrical threads. Types
Note — When using this standard appropriate to test the effect of reference standards in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet or in the annual information index «National standards» published as on January 1 of the current year, and the editions of the monthly information index «National standards» for the current year. If the reference standard is replaced (changed), when using this standard should be guided by replacing (amended) standard. If the reference standard is cancelled without replacement, then the situation in which the given link applies to the extent that does not affect this link.
3 Terms and definitions
This standard applies the following terms with respective definitions:
3.1 fitting: a Device in the pipeline system, designed to connect pipes together or with other components of the system.
3.2 threaded coupling: the Connection that ensures the separation of the system without violating other sections of the pipe.
The threaded connection may be: a sphere in the cone, cone to cone or cone to the radius or a flat surface with a sealant.
The constituent parts of the threaded connection must be only from one specific manufacturer.
3.3 nominal diameter: the nominal diameter of the end fitting, expressed as a nominal outer diameter of the joining pipe.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Materials, technical requirements, methods of inspection and testing, acceptance rules, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage shall conform to the requirements for fittings — adapters:
with end for capillary soldering for GOST …;*
— end for pressing according to GOST …*

* The text of the document matches the original. — Note the manufacturer’s database.
4.2 the threaded joint in the Assembly must withstand the maximum operating pressure for the corresponding end of the pipe. When you disconnect and reattach the threaded connection shall withstand the maximum operating pressure.
4.3 During the installation of the pipeline should be applied to the inner and outer cylindrical and conical outer threaded connections.
4.4 Internal cylindrical threaded connection shown in figures 1 and 2.
