Description
50 / ST50 steel identification and purchasing details
Searches for ST50 steel properties can refer to different standards and naming systems, so the designation alone does not establish equivalence. State the issuing standard, required chemistry or mechanical properties, normalized or quenched-and-tempered condition, bar or forged-blank size, strip or wire dimensions, testing, certificates and quantity.
50 steel is used: after normalization with the release or quenching a vacation — for the manufacture of gear wheels, rolling shafts, rods, heavy-duty axles, tires, light duty springs and leaf springs, coulters, finger track links, couplings gear boxes, housings of the injectors and other parts operating friction; cold-rolled heat-treated ribbon with a thickness of 0.05 to 1.30 mm for the manufacture of spring details and springs, with the exception of the winding; tinned wire for the manufacture of tires rotors of electric machines; remisol heat-treated tin-plated wire, designed for the manufacture of galev to reminyl devices of textile machines; forging rolls for hot and cold rolling of metals without mechanical processing.
