3 Definitions
In this standard, use the following term with the appropriate definition:
the casting alloys for artificial joints based on cobalt: Materials, main component of which is cobalt. These alloys have the required mechanical and corrosion resistant properties, which allows their use for the production of artificial joints without harmful effects to the human body.
4 Assortment
The bars are made with a diameter of 95 mm and a length of not more than 1100 mm.
By agreement with the consumer it is allowed manufacture of bars of other sizes.
Shape, dimensions and limit deviations of the dimensions — by agreement between manufacturer and consumer.
Example of designation of the cast rod of alloy grade ХК62М6Л with a diameter of 60 mm:
Rod ХК62М6Л-60 GOST R 51395−99
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Alloy should be smelted with the use of clean charge materials vacuum induction method or any other method that provides the required purity of the metal impurities.
5.2 Chemical composition of the alloy shall be those specified in table 1.
Table 1
Chemical composition |
Cobalt | Chrome | Molyb- den |
Nickel | Iron | Carbon | Mar Ganz |
Silicon | Sulfur | Phosphorus |
Mass fraction of elements, % |

Not more than 1.0 | Not more than 0.35 | Not more than 1.0 | Not more than 1.0 | Not more than 0,015 | Not more than 0,020 |
Note — by agreement with the health authorities allowed small deviations in the mass fraction of the elements specified in table 1, not entailing changes in the structure and mechanical properties.
5.3 Mechanical properties determined on molded samples must conform to the standards specified in table 2.
Table 2
Mechanical properties | Tensile strength , N/mm |
Yield strength , N/mm |
Elongation ,% |

Note — the Mode of heat treatment of the samples chosen by the manufacturer to achieve the required properties.
5.4 Rods with a continuous supply of abrasive Stripping.
On the surface bars are not permitted oxide films, contamination, inclusion of a foreign metal, and nodules that increase the size of the bars.
By agreement with the consumer allowed other claims to the surface specified when placing the order (contract).
6 acceptance Rules
6.1 the Bars show the acceptance by the parties consisting of bars in one melting.
Each batch is accompanied by a quality document with GOST 7566.
6.2 To verify the quality of bars from the party taken:
— for chemical analysis — one sample from melting GOST 7565;
— for quality control of surface and size — all bars;
for mechanical testing, four of the cast sample (two specimen and two specimens, if necessary, for re-testing).
Note — Control samples for mechanical tests are made from blanks (clubs), cast in the casting alloy or from metal supplied blanks. Blank (clubs) are cast into hot ceramic molds. Produce fill in the working space of the furnace while casting alloy. Allowed casting (clubs) in the cold form. The manufacturer ensure that the consumer properties not less than the samples made from billets that are cast in the hottest shape of the original alloy without addition of waste.
6.3 Upon receipt of unsatisfactory results of chemical analysis carried out repeated tests on the sample according to GOST 7566.
If unsatisfactory results at least one of the indicators of mechanical properties, it is carried out repeated tests on two other samples taken from the same heat. When unsatisfactory results of repeated tests allowed to test on two new samples obtained from the same batch after re-heat treatment.
7 test Methods
7.1 Chemical composition of the alloy is determined according to GOST 12344−12348 GOST, GOST 12350, 12352 GOST-GOST 12354 series, 29095 GOST, GOST 28473 or other methods providing the required accuracy. Sampling for determining the chemical composition of the churchyard 7565.
7.2 Size of test bars measuring tools that provide required accuracy of measurements.
7.3 surface Quality of bars is controlled visually.
7.4 Control of mechanical properties carried out on two cast iron samples according to GOST 1497.
8 Packing, marking, transportation and storage
8.1 Packaging, labeling, transportation and storage — by GOST 7566.
8.2 Rods supplied in durable containers — metal drums or boxes. Gross weight — 150 kg.
In each container on two rods indelible ink or branded labeling that includes the grade and number of trunks.
Is it possible to deliver bars in bundles, tied with wire. When this marking is applied on each rod.
8.3 For each cargo space, attach a label indicating:
— manufacturer and (or) the trademark;
— grade alloy;
— batch number;
— weight;
— the date of issue.
8.4 Bars are transported in the covered vehicles of all types under shot 7566.
8.5 Transport marking under GOST 14192 with main, additional and informational inscriptions performed by waterproof paint on the cargo or labels securely attached to the load.
8.6 Bars should be stored in warehouses at temperatures from 5 to 40 °C, relative humidity of 80%, in the absence of air in alkaline, acidic and other aggressive contaminants.
