Application
Fasteners, rollers, sleeves and other parts of the apparatus and vessels working in dilute solutions of nitric, acetic, citric acid, in salt solutions with oxidizing properties. Steel is corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant up to 850 °C of ferritic class.

Technological properties of steel 12X17

Forging temperature
The beginning 1250, the end 900. Sections up to 350 mm are cooled in the air.
Weldability
Difficult-to-weld. Welding methods: RDS, ArDS. Subsequent heat treatment is recommended.
Tendency to tempering ability.
Tends to temper at 475 C for long dwell times.
