1 Scope

This standard establishes requirements for the production and supply, labelling and transportation of products from primary aluminium produced by electrolysis from bauxite, nepheline ore, and other raw materials, and alloys based on it, produced in the form of ingots, wire rod, flat and cylindrical bars.

3 mold release and supplies

Aluminium and alloys on its basis for the present standard release in the form:

— pigs;

— rod;

— flat bars;

— solid and hollow cylindrical bars.

3.1 Pig

3.1.1 Dimensions and weight of pigs for design and manufacture of the molds are shown in figures 1−4 and in table 1, which includes their designations.

3.1.2 By agreement between manufacturer and purchaser allowed the production of large ingots of other sizes, weights and shapes.

3.2 Rod

3.2.1 the diameters of the rod and limit deviations thereon shall be as specified in table 2.

3.2.2 Brand rod should correspond to GOST 13843.

3.2.3 agreement between manufacturer and purchaser is allowed to produce wire rod of other nominal diameters, the maximum deviation should correspond to the nearest larger the size specified in table 2.

3.2.4 out-of-Roundness of wire rod shall not exceed the diameters:

— not more than 10 mm — 0.4 mm;

— more than 10 to 15 mm — 0.6 mm and for diameters over 15 mm at 0.9 mm.

3.3 cylindrical Ingots

3.3.1 solid bars Diameters, outer diameters of hollow ingots and tolerances for diameter shall be as specified in table 3.
