11. (Deleted, Rev. N 4).
IIIa. TEST METHODS
12. Selection and preparation of samples for determining the chemical composition — GOST 24231 or GOST 3221.
Chemical composition of aluminium is determined according to GOST 12697.1 — 12697.12 GOST, GOST 3221, GOST 23189, or other methods providing the required accuracy.
The differences in the evaluation of the chemical composition analysis is carried out according to GOST 12697.1 — 12697.12 GOST, GOST 3221, GOST 23189.
12A. Control bars for internal defects is carried out on macrosections of cross-templates ingots. Template cut from the end of the ingot with a thickness of 30−50 mm and treated with controlled surface cutter of high speed steel with the use of the lubricant of kerosene to no more than 20 microns.
Etched macrosections spend 10−20% sodium hydroxide solution for 10−20 min at a temperature not below 15 °C. After etching, the surface is washed with water and bleached 25−50% nitric acid solution to remove the dark patina, followed by rinsing in water. Inspection of macrolife carried out visually without the use of magnifying tools.
13. The length of the ingot is measured by measuring tape according to GOST 7502 or measuring ruler according to GOST 427, one of the side faces.
Side of the square is measured with a metal ruler according to GOST 427 along two perpendicular faces of one of end faces of the ingot. Each dimension must correspond to the table.1.
The curvature of the ingot is determined with the help of steel wire with a diameter of not less than 0.2 mm according to GOST 2771, taut without sagging and applied along the axis of the ingot to its full length, a measure of the maximum deviation from the plane () are in millimeters metal ruler according to GOST 427 or gauges according to GOST 162. The curvature of the ingot is determined by dividing the obtained values by the length of the ingot.
Reza cosine () determine the greatest distance from the plane of the end face of the ingot to the vertical plane through the outermost point of the edge end face (damn.2). Cosine measure cut metal square according to GOST 3749, lying on one side on the plane of location of the ingot, and measuring with a ruler according to GOST 427. Measurement of the skew cut is performed on both ends of the ingot.
Damn.2
Damn.2
The radius of curvature of the edges are measured radius templates for the ND. The measurement is performed at each edge at the middle of the length of the ingot. Each dimension must correspond to the table.1.
To check the height and depth of surface defects of ingots used gauges according to GOST 162 or depth gauge indicator according to GOST 7661.
Allowed to use other measuring devices to ensure the required measurement accuracy.
12−13. (Changed edition, Rev. N 4).
14. Determination of electrical resistance carried out on samples of wire with a diameter of 1.5−2.5 mm in segment length of 1 m according to GOST 7229.
For sample production cut templet with a minimum thickness of 25 mm. Of the investigated template produce a sample of cylindrical shape with a diameter of 25 mm and a length of not less than 20 mm, from which the methods of pressing, rolling or drawing wire produce. After rolling or pressing the wire is subjected to calibration and annealing at a temperature of (350±20) °C for 3 hours with subsequent uniform temperature decrease to room.
It is possible to produce cylindrical specimens by casting them in a mold from liquid metal taken during casting of ingots.
The area of the test-piece of wire (mm), calculated by the formula
,
where is the mass of sample, g;
— length of sample, cm;
— the density of aluminium at 20 °C, g/cm.
Samples of the solid wire is obtained by rolling and drawing of entire ingots.
(Added, Rev. N 4).
