Alloy PT-7M
Designation
Description
Alloy PT-7M is used: for the production of semi-finished products (sheets, strips, foils, strips, plates, bars, rods, profiles, tubes, forgings and forged blanks) by the method of deformation, and also ingots; thin-walled welded components (high ductility of the alloy allows to obtain from it particularly thin-walled tubes); various kinds of pipelines operating at room and elevated temperatures in aggressive environments; pipe items ship vacuum desalination plants; degassed titanium welding wire diameter 1,0−7,0 mm.
Note
The alloy has good corrosion resistance. Alloy PT-7M relates to alloyed, low-strength and high-ductility alloys of Ti-Al-Zr. It is quite easy to deform not only at high but also at room temperature, which due to the small content of aluminum.
Standards
Chemical composition
According to GOST 19807-91, the total content of other impurities is ≤ 0.30%. The mass fraction of hydrogen is indicated for ingots. The mass fraction of chromium and manganese should not exceed 0.15% (in total). The mass fraction of copper and nickel should not be more than 0.10% (in total), including nickel not more than 0.08%.
For pipes of group A in accordance with GOST 21945-76, the maximum mass fraction of hydrogen in the alloy is set to 0.005%.
