Description

Alloy Д24 used: for the manufacture of welded structures operating at cryogenic and elevated temperatures; for the production of profiles with cross-sectional area of 200 cm2 and a diameter of circumcircle up to 350mm suitable for use in the aviation industry and special machine building industries.

Note

Д24 — alloy system Al-Cu-Mg aluminum of high heat resistance, hardened by heat treatment (quenching + natural ageing). The alloy is characterized by the combination of high static strength (up to 450−500 MPa) at room and elevated (up to 150−175 °C) temperatures, high fatigue strength and fracture toughness. The disadvantage is the low corrosion resistance, the products require careful corrosion protection.
