Technological properties

Name The value
Weldability Well welded alloy system Al-Zn-Mg, under certain conditions, can be successfully used in the construction instead of welding AMg6 alloy, which is inferior to the alloy of 1925 on the strength characteristics, especially yield stress.
Pressure treatment 1925 alloy well deformed in the hot and cold States. The temperature interval of hot deformation is in the range of 350-480 °C. Important advantages of the grade is the extrusion of profiles and tubes with high speeds the expiry of 15-30 m/min above the acceptable during the pressing of alloys D1, AMg6 5-10 times.
Features of heat treatment Heat-treatable alloy. Alloy 1925 is zamotaylova, i.e. the strength characteristics depend little on the kind of quenching medium (water, air). As a result, pressed extra virgin profiles with a flange width of 10 mm may not be subject to hardening, because the cooling after extrusion in the air gives almost the same structure and the same properties as quenching in water after heating in the hardening furnaces. Alloy hardened during the aging process, as at room and at elevated temperatures.
Corrosion resistance The alloy has good resistance to corrosion, higher than the alloy D1.
