The value |
Weldability |
The alloy is well welded all types of welding - TIG, contact, spot, and seam welding. Weld joint efficiency is 0.9-0.95 % of the strength of the basic material. |
Workability by cutting |
Machinability is good. |
Pressure treatment |
Well-deformed in hot and cold condition. |
Corrosion resistance |
Alloy with excellent General corrosion resistance, not cloned to stress corrosion cracking and intergranular corrosion (especially in the annealed condition). For additional protection parts against corrosion is anodizing or applied coatings. The corrosion resistance of the alloy (and the weld) high, is almost the same as that of pure aluminum. |
