Description
Alloy Amg1 is used: for the manufacture of semi-finished products (sheets, tapes, strips, plates, profiles, panels, pipes, wire, stampings and forgings) by hot or cold deformation of welded and riveted structural elements of aircraft construction and shipbuilding, experiencing a relatively light load and require high corrosion resistance.
Note
The high quality alloy system Al-Mg.
ISO 209−1 alloy brand Amg1 has designations and AlMg1 5005.

Technological properties
Name | The value |
---|---|
Weldability | The alloy is well welded all types of welding - TIG, contact, spot, and seam welding. The corrosion resistance of the alloy (and the weld) high, is almost the same as that of pure aluminum. |
Workability by cutting | The poor machinability in the annealed condition and satisfactory cold-worked. |
Pressure treatment | Well-deformed in hot and cold condition. |
Corrosion resistance | Alloy with excellent General corrosion resistance, not cloned to stress corrosion cracking and intergranular corrosion (especially in the annealed condition). For additional protection parts against corrosion is anodizing or applied coatings. |
Soldering | Alloy satisfactorily soldered. |
